  1. We are nearing the end of our week on deck 3. I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again. The only thing that you must plan for is having only 1 outlet. I bought a device that converts the one outlet to three and three USB ports. Makes it easy to recharge devices overnight while DH uses his CPAP. I also think I'd be ok in an inside cabin.
  2. On this itinerary happy hour pricing is 50% off your drinks. It's held in the Ocean Bar and Ctows Nest at 4. Then again at 10 in the Crows Nest. Interestingly DH'S Bacardi 8 cost more in Crows Nest than Ocean Bar. After dinner in the lido we went to the 7 pm show. It was Sid Davis and he was funny and the room was packed. We also sent out another bag of laundry this morning and it was returned by 8:30. Excellent turn around. I haven't checked internet speeds but I haven't had any issues on both my phone and tablet. Tomorrow is a sea day and it's supposed to be rainy.
  3. Security was very curious about the large piece, it was wrapped in newspaper and bubble wrap. Luckily I took the picture before it was wrapped. Once they saw the picture they seemed happier. 😀
  4. While in Sydney we did our part for the local economy. Everything is locally made. The artist holding one of the pieces we bought. From a different stand
  5. Some souvenirs from the craft market found there way to our cabin that are locally made.
  6. Yes, it's next to the ship. While the lady was wrapping that piece I picked up few more smaller pieces
  7. They are working in pairs to keep the rooms clean. That said, only one of them keeps checking in on us.
  8. We picked up a piece of art that it locally made. When in Sydney check him out.
  9. I tried to explain to the Crows Nest that I knew it was on board, since I had it a few hours earlier, but he didn’t seem to believe me. Pre Covid they would have confirmed and get a bottle.
  10. Good Morning from Sydney, thanks for today's daily fleet report. It's a brisk 42F here with a high of 49F. DH thinks he should have brought his winter coat. I'm hoping to see the local artist we met last year, his work is wonderful. @dfish I hope your surgery goes well. I hope everyone has a good day today.
  11. Yesterday morning we sent out a bag of laundry and it was returned by 8:30 that night. We skipped the evening show as we've seen it once before and that was more than enough. We watched the latest Matrix movie for our entertainment. IMHO the Ocean Bar is the place to go for your adult beverages. The Crows Nest gave a smaller pour and told me that the rum I wanted was removed from the ship, I can get it at Ocean Bar. Last night the lines in the lido were very long for dinner. One shop worker said she waited in line for over 30 minutes. We hit salad bar and pasta station, no wait for food.
  12. These were delivered this morning while we walked along the harbor.
  13. We will have two dressy nights. Dressy is the old formal. A shirt with a collar and slacks are fine. I use a polo shirt.
  14. I experienced this issue last November on the NA. We booked a 14 day itinerary but it was also sold as two separate 7 day itineraries. Once on the ship we couldn't make reservations on the second half of the 14 day itinerary. The concierge could but not us directly through the app.
  15. Good Morning from Halifax, thanks for today's report. Another sunny but cool day with nothing planned, except Happy Hour.
  16. Last night we used on of our 5* dinners in the Pinnacle Grill. The Clothesline Bacon and key lime pie were excellent. My filet was good but wasn't cooked as requested. Fortunately I have a wide tolerance on how my steak can be cooked. Later we went to the comedian and we both thought he was good.
  17. It's been cooler than expected. The highs have been in the 50's. Tomorrow may only be in the 40's. I'd recommend a coat and maybe more long pants than shorts. Of course by then it could all change.
  18. Dive In burger pairs nicely with the HAL beer. Long lines everywhere for lunch.
  19. Depending on where we are the phone bounces between Maine and Canada.
