  1. IMHO I would blame this on HAL leadership. The IT department posted what was approved by leadership.
  2. You would think that they had enough time to get their ducks in a row and roll it out correctly.
  3. Taking a look at the updated pdf of mariner benefits it says up to $400 per person. https://www.hollandamerica.com/content/dam/hal/marketing-assets/PDFs/HAL-Mariner-Society-Grid-Updates.pdf
  4. My take was that it was for each mariner that books within the 90 day window. I could be wrong.
  5. If your cruise is 21 days or longer, except a grand voyage, then you get $400.
  6. Watching this right now. 6 to 9 day cruise $100 10 to 20 days $200 21+ days $400 All Alaska cruise tours $200 Grand Voyages are excluded
  7. Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily report. Today’s meal suggestion is one of my favorites. It’s also a meal that I use to see if a restaurant is reasonably priced. @dfish cherries jubilee is a great dessert you should give it a try. Today promises to be a very wet one, tomorrow too. Tucker and Jasper turned 10 this week. Where did the time go?
  8. I’m left wondering if HAL will let us know when this benefit becomes available for each new season. I won’t hold my breath waiting.😂
  9. After our Alaska cruise this year we received the welcome home promotion.
  10. I checked as well and it is posted. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/mariner-society.html
  11. On our recent NA cruise we had the Have It All promotion. I recall getting prompted regularly to upgrade the free wifi for a fee that I can’t remember. Since we were in Alaska and Internet was horrible I didn’t bother. I wouldn’t have anyway since I could do want I wanted, when it worked.
  12. Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily report. It’s a pass on the meal suggestion but two thumbs up on the drink of the day, especially if it’s on a dam ship. Today’s quote is a good one. My company announced that we are working at home for the rest of the year. I hope everyone has a good day today.
  13. At least one of the manufacturers are working on a combined flu covid vaccination. Hopefully that will be approved for next fall.
  14. Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily report. I was scheduled to have a quiet work day. That fell apart rather quickly. @dfish I’d be willing to give the meal suggestion a try. I did manage to get in a load of laundry and Jasper is busy making sure that DH’s clothes have the correct amount of fur.🤣
  15. It would certainly help those planning, or hoping to plan, a cruise in 2022 if HAL made this announcement now.
  16. Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily report. Who can’t support international peace day? It’s been a very long time since I played miniature golf. @kazu the daily dish looks good and would be welcome here. After dinner last night I hit the wine store and adopted a case of Pinot and a case of Chardonnay. They will have a good home, for awhile. It’s always good to stock up for the long New England winter. DH claims winter is already here😂 Yesterday I started transitioning the plants that were taken outside back to indoors. The cats are fond of this since they like to make their beds in some of them.
  17. Thanks for the additional information on the limits. My sister may not be aware that it doesn’t apply to wine. She is in a Philly suburb. i will say that I forgot to think about the champagne. I’ll need to check that out too.
  18. The wine shop is now on my to do list this weekend.
  19. Good Afternoon, I just watched a report that there are now liquor shortages here in the states. Reasons for the shortages are lack of bottles, labels and workers. My sister reported that PA is limiting people to two bottles. I thought it a local issue with the state. Guess it’s time to prepare for the holidays and shore up the stockpile.
