  1. I'm leaning towards keeping 10:30. Economy for 6 hours doesn't sound enjoyable
  2. Looks like the only other ship in that day is Brilliant Lady which helps. I figure outside of the agricultural line, we'll be able to bypass any line at the United check in due to first class and at tsa for precheck, so it's just any hangup getting off the ship or agricultural line.
  3. My options are basically keep what we have and get off the ship right away carrying our luggage for 10:30, or cancel and get a refund and pay about the same amount of money on Delta however economy on Delta is the same price as what we paid for 1st class on United..
  4. For those who have sailed in the last year or so out of San Juan, is a 10:30am flight after the cruise do able? I seem to remember a few years ago San Juan wasn't the most organized port or airport. We'd be checking bags but do have pre check. United changed our flight and 10:30am is the latest departure so it's either keep that or cancel for a refund and pay more for another airline.
  5. There is, which is what we've done in the past, but to go from interior to balcony on this sailing is like $1400. Not worth it.
  6. This will potentially be our first ever cruise in an interior room assuming no royal up wins. I've always insisted we have a balcony, but the last handful of cruises, I've found me using the balcony less and less. I'd be out there waking up, but then on a sea day, we head to the pool for the day until dinner. I'd sit on the balcony while wife is gr getting ready, then we'd leave for dinner and not be back in the room until 1 or 2am. Total balcony time maybe an hour? I like people watching and music, which is why we do the pool deck. I'm really hoping we don't mind the interior because it'd make cruising even cheaper without ever paying upgrade fees. Some casino offers include Balconies, others just interior. This is cruise 18 I believe and first in an interior.
  7. We'll actually be on Wonder about 3 weeks after this 🙂
  8. Yeah we still deal with pto unfortunately. Although, we're way more fortunate in the pto category as you can tell with all the cruises are have booked already.
  9. We have a cabin booked under the puzzle break room on Wonder. Should I be concerned of noise late at night? Like, midnight on? I think we're safe from adventure ocean, at least after midnight or so.
  10. That's kind of my thought. Icon will be available for casino bookings in 2025, so by waiting a year, we'll likely get on her in 2025 for a casino comp. Just killed me giving up the aft room and pricing since it's so expensive now. More so fomo I think. But to your point, I love oasis class and a free 7 night cruise is better than paying $3400 for a week long cruise.
  11. I'm pretty positive I should have paid the change fee and not been refunded the difference from the nrd but I certainly wasn't going to question it lol
  12. Unfortunately no. We already have cruises booked for January, Feb, March, April and may. Lol.
  13. Called back. Didn't fully understand what all took place, but canceled my booking I made earlier today on oasis. He then moved my icon booking to oasis, and then reapplied my casino comp. He originally said I owed $100 pp change fee, took my card number, then came back and said I didn't owe a change fee because of ????. So, I should be getting $345 back from the Oasis sailing from Port fees and taxes, and he said I'd get back about $280 from my icon booking since the $600 I paid was in excess of the port fees and taxes? We'll see what actually happens.
  14. Such a good point. The amount of kids in general freaked me out
  15. Killssss me losing the aft balcony on Icon, but a free cruise is better than a $3,400 cruise lol. Figure we can always do Icon the following year or something.
  16. I'm thinking what I should have done is changed my icon sailing to oasis, ate the $100 change fee, and then applied my tier benefit to that sailing to zero it out. I think. Maybe. Lol.
  17. Interesting. When I asked if I could change the deposit, I was told I couldn't. At least I was told I couldn't use it towards a casino booking.
  18. I can't decide what I want to do. Looking for opinions. Right now, we have an aft balcony on Icon booked for February, roughly the 4th sailing. I booked it when it first came out, so got an "okay" price of about $3,400 for the two of us total. So far, I only paid the non refundable deposit of $500. For the same week, I can cruise on Oasis for only port fees and taxes, so roughly $300. The iterinary is less than desirable, Coco cay, Nassau, Labadee and Falmouth. It'd just be an interior room, which is fine. What would you do? As much of a "downgrade" it'd be to go on oasis, even after losing the $500 nrd, I'd still come out ahead about $3,000. Opinions? I'm like 50/50.
  19. Sure wish I had an ugly, hodgepodge quilt. Some people have all the luck.
  20. I feel like I've called before to have it added to cruises and they wouldn't, but I can't n remember why. I thought maybe it was couldn't be added to existing bookings?
  21. Sorry! You're correct. My numbers in my head didn't come out the way I wanted them to early this morning lol. On land, 90ish percent, on ships, less. Thank you for the correction!
  22. That's a lot of slide riding to cover millions of them 🙂
  23. Casinos will always win. On land, holds are usually around 89%, on ships likely 93% or so. I've had good winning cruises and losing. But, offers don't care what you win or lose. They care about the money you're willing to circulate through the machines because they know in the end, the casino will win. I win/lose the same in the casino now as I did before the casino reward program so the way I see it, I would have played in the casino regardless, but as a reward, I'm not having to pay for gambling plus a cruise fare. Losing $5k-10k on a comped cruise is better than losing $5k-10k plus paying for the cruise.
  24. That's how casinos work, thanks for the tip.
