Mrs. Dawg runs the biggest division for her firm so she is comfortable delegating work to well paid professionals. She treats things like grocery shopping the same way. We had to 'fire' a few delivery services during Covid but the ones she finally found are really good quality. The fruit and veggie folks are also well paid. One delivery guys drives a Caddy and the other one drives a Range Rover. But hey, she takes damn good care of them and I love her for it. 😊

I teach at an Ontario university and I don't know when the 2023 December/January break is just yet. Looking at the calendar for this year (2023) I'd guess that most universities will go at least until Dec. 21st (Thursday) or 22nd (Friday) for exams so If I were the OP I would not plan on leaving until the 24th at the earliest. (The 23rd is also a possible exam date ) The OP's son might finish exams earlier but that schedule is not finalized until mid November. I would not count on getting all early exam dates especially for first year courses. Also, don't think that the university or the Professor will grant any student a deferred exam because of a conflict with a travel schedule. The chance of that happening is next to nil. (Nil if the OP's son is in one of my classes) Start up in Jan. 2024 will likely be on Monday Jan. 8th. So there is enough time for 10 or 11 day cruise but probably not a fourteen day cruise.

👍 👍 I like both of these. Personally I can't get my boxers in a twist about this issue. In all the cruises we have done we might have ordered room service maybe once. I'm sure their are lots of cruisers who will pay the $9.95 plus gratuity for this service and some will not. A small number will choose to switch cruise lines over this issue. Most will not. Have to go now, the grocery delivery van is out front delivering our weekly order. Since Covid you will not catch Mrs. Dawg in a grocery store ever again. The fresh vegetables and fruit service delivers on Wednesdays. We gladly pay a delivery fee for those services. 🙂

Very true, but you could also just sit in front of your T.V. and watch you tube videos of life in cabin XXX on XXXX of the Seas and others on cruising on XXXX of the Seas and others on the virtual port tours and you could also use the kid's sand box as a beach. That would certainly save yourself the cost and hassle of actually lugging those Vitamin C pills around with you and on to the ship. But where's the adventure in that? Life's an adventure - juice it! 😉

Interesting discussion. I've never sailed solo and probably never will but is seems to be quite a planning nightmare. Mrs. Dawg is going to outlive me by a long shot so I'll show her this thread. As for me, I'll never sail solo because of course, Mrs. Dawg would never toss me out. She has a BIG life insurance policy on me and she knows some people, who know some people. 😉

I have a challenge for you to prove who is the best cruise bargainer of them all! 🏆 I need to find a Caribbean cruise in a balcony cabin (looking out to the ocean) for two departing Feb. 23 - 25th returning at the latest March 5th. The fare must be all-in with a drinks package for two and includes gratuities. So you your choice doesn't included these, add them in. Departure choice is Florida or Texas. Best price wins! Good advice here but as for a clothing retailer for all this near you in West Yorkshire I have no clue. But as I am from Canada and know a bit about apparel for cold climates, I would advise you to not cheap out. Get good quality stuff.

I hate all types or porn, they are all so objectifying. I mean that chicken had a family who loved it. On weekends it might have like to socialize with her friends and watch Chick flicks! It might have had dreams of perhaps one day going to Chicken University, likely on a crossing the road scholarship, in order to improve itself. Good for him for trying. Bringing it affected no one else on the cruise even if it was used. What I don't like is those jack a$$'s who bring their huge DSLR cameras with them and just have to make a photo record of, not only all their meals, but the meals of everyone else at their table. It's a frigging piece of chicken, get over it! 🛑 📸 🍽️
