Carnival is not responsible for checking vaccination status for Grand Turk. The port authority at Grand Turk is responsible. Now whether or not they stop and ask you for proof of vaccinations is irrelevant. If you are stopped and do not have proof then you won’t be allowed in the port.

Correct, so it is a cost savings rather than a “supply chain issue”. They can still get it. Arguably you can say a higher price is a supply chain issue but that is an everyday issue. We face those choices all the time. They decided on an inferior product.

What are the frozen fries made of? I think Carnival made a choice to buy them rather than pay for labor to cut them. More of a crew shortage. IMO.

Beer is predictable as well as shots and martinis. They can’t really short you on alcohol with those type drinks. Long Island teas are also almost all alcohol.

Grand Turk is ready for ships and tourists.

Very recent. I don’t have a date as this is the first I’ve seen it posted anywhere. But they are Carnival employees.

Carnival is no longer offering the free wine in the steakhouse the first or second night.

No test will be required for a B2b unless the onboard doctor requires it.

This is my personal opinion but we are not impressed for the cost. I got the sole and spouse got the colossal shrimp. Honestly my fish in the MDR was better and the shrimp was pretty much the same shrimp available at Cucina or the MDR I don’t recall which. I will usually eat at the steakhouse every cruise but unless I get a feee invite to Rudy’s, I’ll pass. Your mileage may vary but that’s my opinion.

On MG YTD is done by reservations through the app. We saw people around us that were YTD when we were early dining. When we had YTD we mostly got downstairs. So ymmv.

The early dining seat wouldn’t necessarily go unused. On the Mardi Gras the large MDR was planned dining as well as YTD. So not everyone during the early time are early time diners.

It’s a tough choice to make. I did YTD and several nights had 70 minute waits for a table. Hopefully now with adequate staffing the dining times will be a lot faster. We had 70 minute waits and service took over 2 hours. Had to leave before dessert to make the show that we advised them we wanted to attend as we sat down.

We have been on Mardi Gras twice and have had early dining and YTD. Several times on YTD we had 70 minute waits for a table. That far exceeded our troubles eating at Cucina after 8 with early dining. Both times there was an issue with waiting for a table but we will choose early seating on Celebration.

We recently went on a cruise and I put our slap koozies in our mailbox and posted in the group that they were in our mailbox, free to whomever wants them, and they were gone in 10 minutes. 🙂

With the no tipping culture there how is service? I know when we went to the UK we were happy to return to the US where we got much better table service at restaurants.

I just put a hold on an Australia 9 day cruise balcony for $700 per person that included $750 OBC. $1700 total for 2 people. Of course the flights are ~2K per person. June 2014
