  1. Does anyone know how many power outlets are located near or under the bed on Beyond, and whether they use a US or EU plug? I use a CPAP machine and would like to plug it in on my nightstand if possible. I will be in an Infinite Veranda stateroom
  2. Maybe I confused X with Princess re: embarkation lunch. Last time we sailed X we had Concierge class, but didn’t really see the value. Between Select status and a beverage package, we felt like there wasn’t too much of an incremental benefit.
  3. An MDR meal is not worth the several hundred dollar upgrade to us. I believe MDR lunch used to be included but I guess that got cut at some point. We’re totally fine with the buffet - we can always catch our friends later if they decide to do the sit-down lunch!
  4. Our friends are sailing in Concierge class, but we have a standard infinite veranda on Beyond. Would X allow us to join them for the embarkation lunch, or are they pretty strict about who can go to the MDR? It’s totally understandable if we can’t go, but was just curious if we have the option.
  5. We were assigned E723 as part of a mini suite guarantee. A few comments on the room: -You could not hear anything from the Vista Lounge in the room. Even though our sailing was completely sold out, the lounge was relatively quiet most nights, with most of the late-night crowds gathering in the Piazza or Princess Live. -We could not smell any smoke from the smoking area below. -The balcony was fully exposed. It was a bit hot during the day, but really wasn't much of a problem for us. -You could feel some vibrations from the engines, particularly in choppier seas and when the thrusters were on. It took a couple of nights to get used to the feeling but ultimately wasn't that big of a problem. -The location was ideal for getting to any activities in the aft of the ship. The aft elevators were rarely used so it was easy to get to the buffet as well as the Amalfi dining room. It was also nice that Princess Live Cafe was just 1 deck down. We would stop there for coffee every morning (no lines vs. International Cafe), as well as for a regular supply of water bottles -The biggest surprise for us was that the mini-suite was a little bit smaller than what we were expecting. The area with the bed was a normal size, but the sitting area was about a foot narrower than the rest of the room. There were also a couple of columns that shrank the size of the sitting area. When compared with my in-laws' room on deck 16, we did not have a nightstand next to the couch and the extra shelving by the desk was also missing. My parents were in E719 and had a similar configuration to ours. Overall this wasn't a deal-breaker, but something to consider. I hope this helps!
  6. Is it possible/easy to cancel a previously purchased premium upgrade? I had paid $20/day so would like to get the new price if possible
  7. If you order from the dinner menu (vs. the prix-fixe), can you make as many selections as you wish? Trying to decide which menu to choose to maximize the experience.
  8. Currently in the Mediterranean and the heat has been very intense (even for us Floridians). I highly recommend bringing a personal fan and a hat. Temperatures have hovered close to - or exceeded - 100 degrees. Still, it’s worth venturing out to explore the incredible ports
  9. Currently on the Enchanted. Still water comes from local ports (e.g., Greek bottled water in Greece) and is given out freely. We regularly ask for 4 bottles at a time. Our whole table orders Pellegrino and/or Perrier at dinner, but it is served in smaller bottles.
  10. What hacks do people have to maximize the value of the Plus beverage package? For example, I noticed that several cocktails (priced at $10) list the type of spirit rather than a brand (e.g., a Mango Margarita comes with “tequila, orange liqueur, mango nectar, margarita mix, and orange juice”). Are you able to specify that the cocktail be made with Patron and Grand Marnier instead and still stay within the confines of the Plus package?
  11. Just an update: we never received a tracking number, and the app still says "not shipped" under order history, but we did receive our medallions 9 days before sailing. They came in via FedEx.
  12. My credit card was charged 2 weeks ago and the app says “shipped.” However, if I tap “order history” it says “not shipped”. I have also not received an email. Is this normal? We leave for our cruise in a week!
  13. Is it possible to request no upselling (or conversation) before a treatment starts? There is nothing more frustrating than coming out of a massage and having to turn down a sales offer. I once complained to guest services about the hard sell following a massage (on HAL) and received an angry phone call from the spa manager telling me that my complaint was unacceptable…
  14. Agree with this. Would be nice to see cabin availability to make the bidding process easier to predict.
