Yes.  We have poured multiple glasses into vessels just like this (first picture) that hold 20 ounces and have taken them to the pool deck to drink out of Yeti tumblers (second picture.  We do it to abide by the "no glass by the pool" rule, but I can't see any reason why the same process cannot be used to take wine into a dining room.

Thank you!  Exactly what I was looking for!  I like the Yeti tumblers.  Going to look for them.

I was trying to upgrade to the premier package for our next sailing but am not able to do so from either the website or the app!
I won’t worry about it .. if it’s completely sold out by the time we board, we will live. We will have the plus package and will just pay for any additional meals we want.

Try chat.  It took me a couple of tries, but did get it added.

  3. We like to visit Vines and other venues for a pre-dinner drink and then have another drink poured to carry with us to dinner.  However, both my wife and I now require the use mobility scooters and it is impossible to drive the scooters and hold onto a glass wine.  Has anyone ever used a wine thermos to transport drinks between venues and are you able to get multiple pours at the same time.  We both have the Unlimited Premier Package and have a 750ml Wine Thermos.  She likes champagne and I prefer red wine.

    TIA

And the new package hasn't been rolled out on your sailing yet, so yes its going to be a wee bit capacity constrained next week onwards. Like i was saying , for me personally only Rudis is wide open ( but I will concede to memoaks point re some capacity saved for suites/casino guests of which I am neither )

Ours hadn't been rolled out either, but was able to upgrade last week via chat.  Took a couple of try's.  I immediately went on the app and booked the times I wanted.  I suspect that if you wait, the times might not be available.

A recent change is that you must be an AARP member to purchase the Princess cards. Be sure to log in before trying to purchase the gift cards.

You're right.  It used to be available to all.  It was when I bought mine.  Interesting it is still only an 8% discount.  Same with HAL.  However, Carnival, RCCL, and Celebrity are all 10%.

The other thing about being Princess Premier and making Specialty Dining reservations is that they charge your credit card.  This happened to me a couple of months ago for my upcoming cruise.

I made Specialty Dining reservations through the app, and a charge for each reservation appeared on my credit card.

My TA checked into it for me.  Princess acknowledged that the charge was legit.  Princess told my TA  that the only way those with Princess Premier can make a SD reservation, without the charge showing up on their credit card, is to make the reservation once we are on board the ship.  Only then will the SD reservation be made per the Premier Plan.

Not true!  Another case of someone being misinformed.  I upgraded to Unlimited Premier just this week and was able to book all 7 nights Crown Grill and Sabatini's on the app without a charge.

I upgraded from Plus to the new Premier today. Our final payment is not until November, and I was not charged for the upgraded package.

It was added to your invoice that is payable at final payment.  I was waiting for them to charge our CC and it was a good thing I checked.

Question on the app. When I go to make specialty restaurant reservations it asks for my credit card. I have not completed the transaction because I didn't know if it charges my card now. My cruise is a few months out and I don't want my card charged. Does it charge now to my card?

It shows the charge, but then shows $0 for the total and card is not charged.

Ever since they included Specialty dining it seems lake a better deal, provided they can handle the crowd.

Upgraded to Unlimited Premier and was able to choose our preferred dining times in both the Crown Grill and Sabatini's for our November cruise.  I imagine if I had we waited, the time slots would have started to disappear.

  10. We are in an accessible MS and Reserve Class wasn't an option.  If it was, the cost would have been $20 more per person per day.  We already had booked Premier, but just opted for the new  Unlimited Premier for $10 more pp.  That gives us Unlimited SD.  Ours is a 7 night cruise and will allow us to do more SD, and I think there are enough choices to where we won't be bored.

If you have travel insurance it will increase to cover the additional price of the package if purchased pre cruise.

Yes.  We have Princess Platinum insurance.  Upgraded yesterday from Premier to the new Unlimited Premier package and couldn't figure out why the amount was different than the $140 total that it should have been.  Then looked at the new invoice and saw that the insurance cost had also gone up, due to the change.

I added the new Premier Cruise Package on Saturday and booked all my specialty dining today. Cruise is Dec 21... No charge to CC for any of the restaurant reservations, no struggle or difficulty, etc.  Worked great, took maybe 10 minutes to get 14 nights booked, and it automatically cancelled our my MDR reservations..

In my book, it's a well done by Princess.

    YMMV.

Where did you do the upgrade?  On the app?  Online Cruise Personalizer?  Phone Call? Chat?  Also, when is your cruise and what ship?

On chat I was told I can't book until 9/16 when rolled out for the Regal.

  13. We will be on the Regal Princess in November in a mini suite and have questions about the UBD?

The balconies are a bit tight on this ship.  Is there room to do this?

What is included in the $110 charge?

    Any recent menus?

Is it served course by course?

We have a side balcony mid ship on Caribe deck.  Will it be too windy?  The latest we are in any port is Cozumel 6pm.

We have Premier Package.  Can we do wine pairings with each course?

    TIA

    • Shipboard management reserves the right to add additional restrictions and revoke or cancel the Plus Beverage Package at any point during a guest’s voyage for any reason with or without a prorated refund. Additional actions may be taken if guests:
      • Become intoxicated
      • Provide beverages to other guests or do NOT comply with the terms, conditions and limitations of the package
      • Exhibit behavior that is inappropriate, a safety risk to themselves or others, or become offensive or disruptive to other cruise guests or staff
      • Exceed, or attempt to circumvent, the daily limits and service limitations outlined

A couple of years ago on Seabourn we had an Irish Priest who was the ships Chaplain onboard.  He was drunk all the time.  After he puked on one of the guests, they confined him to his cabin and put him off the ship in the next port.

True, but if you book a regular Mini-Suite and add in the new unlimited Premier, that price gets cut almost in half.  A little over $7k for two people.  Isn't a Mini-Suite most comparable to an Ovation Verandah Suite? The Signature benefit of having a separate dining room starts to erode when one has unlimited SD.

Not Apple to apples.  Both MS and SS are similar size.  Granted!  However It is the extra benefits of the SS that brings it closer to the same level as the Seabourn Ovation.  The Ovation has only 600 guests with a crew of 450 a 1:1.33 guest to crew ratio and is 6 stars.  Since the Sun has over 4300 guests and a 1:2.77 guest to crew ratio you almost need the extra benefits of the SS to get a similar level of service. IMHO

Looks like they are trying to compete with all inclusive upscale lines like Azamara, Oceania, Seabourn, Silversea, and Regent.

Unfortunately, with Princess price increases and then add on the Premier package, it works out to be the same or higher as some of the other options.  We were looking to do a TA cruise November 2025.  To do the Sun Princess Signature Suite (301 sf) includes Premier Package price is $6700+ pp.  15 days from BCN.

To do the Seabourn Ovation Verandah Suite (302 sf) All Inclusive is $6300+ pp  14 days from BCN.  Oh and it includes $2200 pp OBC
