I just noticed my cruise for Dec 2025 has dropped Can I call Princess and ask for the price difference or do I have to rebook?

Call your TA or ask for a Princess Vacation Planner.  They should be able to rebook for you.  Unfortunately, in my case I had to cancel and rebook.  I was in an accessible Mini-Suite MA, which I could book online for the same price as a Mini MB.  When they tried ti rebook in the same cabin, the price actually went up.  Didn't make sense to me, but that's what I had to do.

Any moment now. Guest Services just paged a family of 4…

Watched your sail-away from Le Havre.  Looks like they are showing Olympics Track and Field on MUTS.  Nice!  We will be on the Regal in November.  Did they play the Love Boat ships blasts at sail-away from Southamton?

ResMed AirSense 10 machine fit on the nightstands on the Regal and Enchanted.

Good to know.  I have the AirSense 11 (same size as the 10) and will be on the Regal in November.  We are in an accessible Mini Suite and fortunately the desk is near the bed, so I only need to bring a small extension cord to plug it in.

  4. It is only on certain category staterooms.  Suites and I believe Reserve Mini Suites it does not apply.  It also varies depending on what sailing and how full some of the categories are.

PCL, HAL, Seabourn & P&O Australia (closing soon) are all part of the Holland America Group with Jan Swartz as president so based on your experiences those might be her decisions.

I knew that HAL and Seabourn were operated by the Holland America Group out of Seattle.  I did not know that Princess was.  I know they are all part of Carnival Corp.

It's not the scooter so much as the type. If you rent one of the standard smallish 4 wheel ones they are usually too heavy for the tender crew to load and too large for the coach. If you buy one buy a folding type as light as possible, similarly if you rent. They are not inexpensive but will allow you to go just about anywhere, even folding into a taxi trunk. I have a Travelscoot that is very lightweight,  and an Atto which is a bit heavier but breaks into 2 parts to fit a planes overhead locker. They are not inexpensive but will make a dramatic difference to your enjoyment of the trip.

We too own a couple of Travelscoot's.  Very lightweight and easy to travel with.

Texas has their fingers in the pie...

TABC.  Son was a bartender and they are very strict.  We will bring on our two bottle wine allotment (one each).  We have a 6pm reservation for Crown Grill embarkation day.  Hope we are in IW by then.  Sailing says 3pm, but I've learned that doesn't always happen.

  8. Boy what a glitchy system.  Platinum and paid in full.  Sailing on Regal Princess.  At first would only allow Allegro to be booked.  Can't do that because of disability and can't get to that aft dining.  Then finally figured out to go to the Reserve Dining and not the calendar to book it.  Selected Concerto for the days I wanted and saved each.  Went back to calendar to check and not there.  Closed app and checked again.  Only Symphony available.  Selected Symphony and it only shows 5:00 (early) and 7:30 (late).  I guess Symphony is all traditional dining.  Clicked 7:30 for each and all set.

My other issue was the passenger who ordered multiple appetizers, soup corse, salad course, main and two desserts. Dinner took forever and we gave up after 2 nights

Yep!  Had a couple that invited us to dine with them.  Wife had some kind of disorder and kept re-buttering her breadsticks after every bite.  That evening took over three hours.

We also had the braggadocious loudmouthed guy at the table next to us trying to impress two girls he was seated with that kept droning on and on about himself.  When he told them he was a pathologist, I said to my wife, yes, a pathological liar! 😁

I noticed that Princess raised the price of many cruises today. Not just this year but next year too. I understand the increased price of the cruises departing between 8/1 and 12/1, but why next year?  Anyone know the reason?

Also raised the price on our August 2026 15 day TA from Copenhagen to Boston that we booked two weeks ago.  Went up $1800 for the two of us.

Looks like the old double the price and then give a small discount and say see how nice we are to give you such a big discount.  I guess I am lucky that i did all the main alaska excursions years ago....a few excursions now can cost more than the price of the basic cruise fare.

Of course as long as passengers are willing to pay these prices no doubt the cruise lines will continue to push prices to see what the ceiling may be.  And for many an alaska maybe is once in lifetime trip so passengers hold their nose at the prices and just do it.

I am quite happy having done alaska cruise many times to get off and do a few hours hike/walk around the ports which fortunately is still free.  There are some good trails in skagway, juneau and ketchikan and a few other ports that can be found via online search.  Not everyone's cup of tea but i enjoy walking along a salmon stream or through a forest type area.

    Think Walmart Rollback! 😁
