We're here and enjoying the kids and the most perfect weather. Our non stop flight to Newark started out being delayed one hour, then 20 minutes later delayed another hour. Agent at the gate said they were waiting for a part to be delivered to the plane and that there was no guarantee the plane would make it at all. She was super helpful and in a matter of moments got us on a flight (one stop) which got us into Newark only 1 hour later than the original flight. She even upgraded us no charge to Premium Plus on both legs which has extra leg room. Then we waited 40 minutes for a wheelchair upon arrival at Newark. The walk to luggage would have been near impossible for me. As a thank you to me for being so patient, I was given a $75 voucher for my next United trip. Way to go United!

No more driving. The last car trip to and from Miami was the deciding factor. Way too long! How wonderful that you and Jim can share your grandchildrens happy events. Enjoy and smile with pride! From me too.

NJ diner food for sure. There's one approx. 5 minutes away, good REAL bagels 2 mins away, pizza in the same small shopping area where the bagels are. Heaven! We could never do 1 suitcase on a cruise. With the kids we are very, super casual, no dress to impress nights 🤣 A big plus is having laundry facilities. I can't believe I only packed 2 pairs of shoes. Jack is very impressed. I hope you're feeling better!

It was total perfection.

We're finally packed (1 suitcase!) for our 10 day NJ trip tomorrow. Weather for the next 10 days is a mixed bag with temps in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. No rain predicted. woohoo! Whenever we visit, I wash everything the day before we leave so that when we arrive home, I can relax and not worry about laundry. AND if I forgot anything, of course, there's always shopping!

I watched the whole concert on you tube. I was so happy that option is available.

I thought the Coronation Concert last night was spectacular. Lionel Richie at 73 was amazing and is the same age as King Charles. Katy Perry, Take That, Andrea Bocelli, The Prince of Wales speech, even Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog, all amazing. The lights in the sky were awesome as well as changing colorful lights beamed on Windsor Castle. So many "ooh ahh" moments. Best concert, ever.

I have friends that have to stay indoors when it hits them hard. Luckily, it doesn't seem to affect me. Following from google: Dallas is the worst city in Texas and the second-worst city in the U.S. for pollen allergies, according to a study by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA). Wichita, Kansas beats Dallas for the worst city for pollen allergies.

Thank you so much, Maryann. I can't wait to hug my "babies". My grandson already told me he wants me to make his favorite, chicken soup. My daughter lives in a very rural area of NJ and there's just one area supermarket. They better have fresh dill, parsley, parsnips which are requisites together with the other usual veggies. Yes, the shooting was horrific. Unfortunately, it's getting all too common. 😒

It's a beautiful area. I would not hesitate to live there.

So hard to click "like" or "thanks" to posts like these but no other appropriate option exists. I think the majority of people shop on the internet because of ease and comfort and of course at the height of covid it was the safest way to shop. No way am I going to live in fear and stay away from my favorite brick and mortar shopping malls.

I hate to bring anything negative in here, but I just read that there was a mass shooting at an outlet mall in Allen, TX, approx. 20 mins from me. I shop there often and drove right by there, yesterday. 9 wounded and police have confirmed deaths but not the number of fatalities as of yet. I am sickened at all the mass shootings in this country and when it hits home it gets personal. Most of my friends and family shop there. Prayers to all the families who have been impacted by this tragedy.

New kitchen looks wonderful! I always liked subway tile. Gives a light, clean look. Gray cabinets with the black handles look great also. Enjoy! We'll have good weather in NJ next week for the most part. Low to mid 70s. Nice to get some cool weather for a change. 😄 Everything in your house, outside as well as inside is lovely just like the people who live there. Graham, you and Pauline are class acts for sure.

Maryann, Happy Birthday to your twin daughters. What a great birthday present Owen got! I got my driver's license when I was an adult after I moved to the suburbs. Not as exciting as when one gets it at a young age.

Alright! Our numbers grow. Now we have 5 posters in here who live in the Dallas area.

Can you let us know where in TX you are? Drink plenty of water. I would get one of those misters I've seen on Amazon. There were days I had my car heater on in the morning and the AC on in the afternoon.

It's going to hit 94 today. AND we have tons of stuff to do today in the heat. Up to 54% humidity. Better sweat than freeze, I always say. @dani negreanu Sorry you had problems on your way home but at least you're safe and can now hopefully relax and relive all the wonderful memories you both made.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes. I have added a thanks to all of your posts. Special heads up to @dani negreanuDani for sending me birthday wishes in Hebrew and @Ocean Boy OB for that fabulous Kraken Kolada. We had a wonderful evening yesterday. When we entered the restaurant, I was surprised to see 4 additional friends who were joining us. A birthday surprise my other friends kept from me. We haven't seen them in approx. 4 years so we had lots to catch up on. After 2 glasses of Moscato and 2 1/2 hours of the best time, we all decided we couldn't say goodbye so we wound up at a friend's house to continue our fun. Onward Tuesday to our daughter and grands! Doesn't get much better than that. Loving all of the Hawaii pictures! Please keep them coming.

Today is my birthday. My birthday wish is for everyone in my world to have the best health, and the most wonderful moments in your lives. We're going out for an early dinner with a bunch of our friends and although I don't usually drink adult beverages much, I am going to make an exception later today!
