  1. NCL's policy will change as of Sept 3rd, "for sailings beginning September 3, 2022, all travelers are invited to sail with us once again, regardless of vaccination status." Here it is on the NCL website. https://www.ncl.com/sail-safe The one thing unvaccinated have to do is check with the local government of the place they are visiting.....their rules may be different than NCL's.
  2. A quick observation about the cabins after watching a video tour of a balcony. Love the balcony and the comfy chairs....I did notice that there is no "coffee maker". That is going to be a disappointment to my heavy coffee drinker husband. I also did not see any ice buckets for the wife who loves icy drinks. Hmm. One other thing...if you want to make that bed 2 singles there is no room on each side to do that. You'd have to remove one of the side tables and even at that there would not be much room in between the beds. Otherwise, this balcony room is a pleasant upgrade to most I've ever been on. Love the color scheme.
  3. Hmm...they will discover it when they scan your carry on bags during check in. They will either remove it or make you pay the cork fee.
  4. The fact that Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Silversea ships are all implementing new high speed Internet must mean that there is a call for it. Norwegian is launching 2 new ships, one would think that they thought ahead and have added this to them. They are advertising them both as their new "Luxury" ships which implies to me that they are an upgrade to their other ships. I am sailing on the Prima in May with a bonus free Internet package, meaning I get a whole 72 minutes for free. When speed is crawling 72 minutes is hardly a bonus. I do not work while vacationing but I do have a disabled brother I take care of that will be at home and need to communicate with him and his sitter daily so I may need to buy some time. I still love Norwegian so this is not a deal breaker for me...just a frustration when you see other lines upgrading their Internet and booking a NEW ship that is not up to date on that.
  5. I paid my down payment today for my Bermuda Cruise in May 2023. MY TA told me that as of now I will not be allowed to cruise to Bermuda if not vaccinated. Bermuda does not require it but NCL does. Now I don't know if she is right or maybe she didn't get the memo from NCL stating that vaccination is no longer required after Sept 2. I told her and she said, but they do require it if going to Bermuda. So I am confused.
  6. The information on that site is from March. Things have changed, or at least that is what my TA told me today. I am unvaccinated. Bermuda no longer requires a vaccination but will require a "negative test" within 2 days of embarkation which the ship can do for you. That said, my TA told me that Bermuda may not require vaccines anymore but NCL still does to enter Bermuda and I may not be able to go on this cruise in May 2023. I found this confusing because NCL announced that as of Sept 2 vaccines will no longer be required unless going to a country that does require it. My TA said NCL will require it if going to Bermuda....ugh! I get a lot of conflicting information.
  7. I just booked the new Prima for a Bermuda 7 day cruise in May. I booked a family balcony cabin. It was a total of $4000 for 2 of us with the currant bonuses...including prepaid tips. I am not going for the free drinks due to the fact that hubby does not drink so the cost of just the tips which is not included is way too high for just me drinking even though the package itself is supposedly free. That said, I wanted to try this new ship so I thought the cost was worth it even though I paid less for an 11 day Caribbean cruise on the Breakaway awhile back for a balcony. It's not likely I would pay this much for 7 days if it were not the "new ship". Next cruise I will be shopping around more.
