We have a soulangeana magnolia which is a tree, but prune it back every so often to keep it from becoming too large. There are smaller ones for small gardens or even for pots if you were interested in having one.

Thankyou Avril, people round here have really let them get huge! -
@Josy1953 good luck for this afternoon, I’ve got everything crossed for you.
Even though our cruise is only 4 nights I’m getting really excited now, hope we get onboard with no hiccups! Because of the Bank Holidays and my day off being Tuesday I’ve only booked two days off work but got over a week off!
Going down to Southampton a week tomorrow Eek! 😁

A lovely sunny day here, warm enough to sit out in the garden for a couple of hours, our Magnolia flowers have opened today, this is the earliest it has flowered.
Down South, I’ve been commenting on the magnolias round here, lots of front gardens with HUGE trees! I always thought they were a bush 😁 Anyway they all look lovely.- 5

We like the Glasshouse for lunch on sea days but are equally happy with the MDR. Having seen people in the past touching items such as bread with ther hands and then not taking the item I would miss a meal rather than eat in the buffet.
I can understand that but we’ve never had a problem (so far!) with the buffet whereas I was a bit underwhelmed with the MDR lunch we had last year, plus we were on one of those awful tables for two that are so close to the next door ones! -
I like the Glasshouse locations on Azura and Ventura. We like having the tapas dishes at lunchtime on a sea day when there’s hordes in the buffet!
I know many of you go to the MDR for lunch but we’re usually happy with the buffet.- 2

I see there’s 2 new cruises for Iona now for March 2025. A 5 night and a two week Canaries cruise.

Great reports and photos Tiger! I did chuckle at your laundrette stories 😁
And yes I have happy memories of a Wimpy banana split, although it was the 80’s for me 😉

Do we know which company it was, Intercruises or Eavesway?
It was Eavesway, haven’t seen anything else about it, I’m gutted for them.- 3

My first and last words on the Royal photo Sue: Thankfully it looks as though the story is now today's chip paper! Other stories seem to have taken over - thank goodness. I am a Royalist but I don't think this fiasco has been handled particularly well. I wonder if the RF is missing the wise guiding hand of our late Queen. They all seem to be cast adrift at the moment. Either way, I wish Catherine well and hope we soon see her again as the huge asset she is to the RF.
Just wait a few months and it will all be forgotten - especially when the big orange bouffant becomes Pres of the USA again. Then the red tops will really have something to write about! Be afraid, be very afraid.
Have a good day Sue. Jane xx
Thank you Jane, I’ve just got home from a manic morning at work and booked the Beach House for my upcoming cruise 😁- 4

My last word on the Royal photo, one of the ‘errors’ was Charlotte’s hair was shorter one side than the other!!! What a load of rubbish, it was obviously down her back! People these days just want to cause trouble!

Morning all, just seen that due to an awful crash on the M6 yesterday Aurora left without a coach!! Those poor people, I’d be devastated. I can’t find many details but it seems they did wait for a while for them.

Hello all, absolutely horrible here, chucking it down! I was going to walk down to my local shops and get a birthday card and my prescription is ready at the chemist. It’s only about a 7 minute walk but I will get drenched! When John gets home we’re intending on going to B&Q to get some matchpots so I’m going to get him to stop at the shops on the way!

Which only proves that our late Queen was correct with her well known adage. Royal they may be, but they are entitled to their privacy.

Hello all, I’ve had a good weekend even though John has been working.
Our son, partner and grandson came over about 3pm after John was home from work yesterday and we ordered takeaway pizza. We also had made salads and flatbread. Our grandson loves tomatoes, cucumber, raw peppers etc so he was happy. So funny our son was telling him after a while he couldn’t had anymore salad and to eat more pizza! Apparently he’d be hungry later otherwise and he’d had loads of grapes last time he was here and got a delicate tummy! Oops!I got presents of tulips, chocolates and wine 😊
Today my sister and brother in law came up and picked my mum up then me and we had lunch out. Then they came back here for coffee. That was nice, I got to see mum but didn’t have to go to the home! They then dropped her off on their way back to the motorway!

Morning all.
Goodness Brian, what a story! Surprised to hear you’re selling your place in Italy but your reasons make sense!
I, too, thought that was a strange ‘Long lost family’ where they contacted the ‘donor’ fathers, that wasn’t what they signed up for! Even though the siblings got on well together they weren’t siblings in the true sense of the word!
Our council doesn’t charge for collecting garden rubbish here but they’re ‘broke’ so perhaps they will soon 🙄

I’ve just caught up on the last few days and see from ‘elsewhere’ that Aurora is safely back in Southampton.
Thanks again for all the effort put in, safe journey home. I shall look forward to the summing up.

I really must be out of touch - I haven't heard of check-in for boarding times before. I've always been sent a check--in time and didn't know you could have any input on that. Can you please explain - sorry if I'm being a bit dim!
Just done a search and see the check--in involves putting in passport, card details etc which i do remember - and gives you your boarding pass. I guess that's when you see your boarding time.
Sorry I thought the check-in was to get your boarding time and you were able to choose - hence the getting in early when the process opens. Doh...... It is early!!!
😁 You’ve answered yourself there! Yes, do all the checking in then you see your boarding time. Luckily I’ve saved our photos we did for our post 2020 cruises so I’ve just used the same ones. I haven’t printed out the boarding pass yet but it makes it such a quick process in the terminal if it’s all done first.- 2
