Thinking about this further…we were Aqua Class on Celebrity and Just had a premium deluxe balcony , no Reserve or Signature dining here. I think we were comparing apples to oranges. Knowing what we received on Celebrity, if we cruise again we will most definitely upgrade to a higher service. I don’t need to justify here the reasons why or defend. But my brother and his wife who never do that agreed this sailing was sub par in comparing to their previous sailings. Hopefully in the next months they will get their act together.

Sommeliers are very few and far between. Prepare to wait!!!!!! Dining wait times have ebbed and flowed. It's such a rush to get in and get seated if you don't already have your assigned table. The hall gets crowded and people are shoulder to shoulder. Then when you get in...the piano playing is so frenetic. It was seriously hard to enjoy any meal there.

I have been using the Beekman products at home and now while on board. There is a different feel to them. Definitely not the quality I have purchased. I don't use their hair products at home but I have found I need to use a lot of the conditioner on my hair here in board.

Thank you for the feedback. We have enjoyed the beautiful ship and some of the staff have gone overboard to make it memorable.

We are currently on the Sun Princess and new to cruising. It’s hard to know if our issues are due to the new ship, due to Princess or just what cruisers are used to. Any opinions out there on the quality of attention in the dining rooms? All they care about is scanning our medallion before greeting us. We have eaten at 3 specialty restaurants and both casual restaurants. Even with all the wait staff, it’s very difficult to get anyone’s attention. Even our main server at Crown couldn’t get me another glass of wine without going through the sommelier, who then had to make sure and tap our medallion. Alfredo’s was better about that. Probably because they weren’t too busy. At The 8th floor American diner, both times we ate, we had to get up and go find drinks or someone to order drinks. I was looking for the coffee and just a refill on water. Don’t get me wrong, these servers are working so hard. They really need to figure this out.

The premier package states 15 drinks a day. Does that includes the coffees and bottled water and juice?

We are booked in one of those cabins for our April 8 sailing. I was worried at first, but I think it's going to be just fine. I said the exact same thing.

That is helpful info. At this point, if I put in an upgrade to a mini suite cabana, I probably don't have a choice of rooms. I'm probably going to stay in the balcony room I have now. It will be great!

It’s a category D2.. I am afraid we made a mistake now and also it looks like our sailing is sold out. I don’t want to upgrade to the cabana because it looks like a shared deck where anyone can access your balcony. Also don’t want to upgrade to a suite because we want the same dining options as our travel companions. Argh! If that’s the worst part of my problems…I guess I’m doing O.K. 🙂

There is a video on Instagram if you search Sun Princess. It shows the cabin next to a premium deluxe cabin and its looks like no privacy but a huge balcony. I don’t know how to share it here. Also…the picture shows a couch/ loveseat. But the description does not. We are wondering if there is another seating option in the premium deluxe cabin other than the desk chair.
