I wouldn’t drive approximately five hours on Interstate 95 on embarkation day. You would have to get up very early to pad some extra time into your trip. Leave the day before, find a place to stay overnight in South Florida and have a nice dinner. Wake up the next morning at a reasonable time and get ready for your cruise vacation to begin.

Totally agree ... better to position closer to the ship.

  2. You are posing a number of questions and I’ll comment regarding the airport which seems to be the key to your plans. Determine the time the NCL bus is scheduled to leave LGA and work around that.

My assessment is that some of the hotels relatively close to the airport might offer transport. But hotels in Manhattan (where your group probably would want to stay) may not offer such transport. That leaves use of taxis or Uber.

It is all doable but a bit complex. Good voyage.

Normally, that would probably be the case. However, the weekend we are there, there will also be 150,000 people attending a music festival at Bayside.

Given the presence of the music festival. best to check with the hotel for their recommendations.

Being near the cruise terminal is nice for debarkation day, not as nice for touring Boston.  Check a map and you'll see how far the cruise terminal is from any of the attractions, like Faneuil Hall, the Freedom Trail, etc
