brookmill18 Posted April 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2018 For our 25th anniversary cruise, we're stopping a day in St Lucia and since we spent our honeymoon at what was then Jalousie Plantation Resort, now Sugar Beach, we're going to contact the resort about doing a day there--even if it's just walking around but hopefully lunch too. It looks like by far the fastest way to get there is by boat and I have read a lot about Spencer Ambrose's Jalousie Beach Break. That may be the best bet, but it's $90/pp and I think we will be mainly using it as transportation. If the resort won't let us onto the property for a few hours, we will most likely do something else altogether that day. Does anyone know of a better/cheaper way to get there or the is the Ambrose tour the only real option? Thanks!
Rare jean87510 Posted May 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2018 We used solomon water taxi. If you email him what you want he may be able to do what you want without all the other stuff thrown in Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app

Water taxi will be more expensive, around $300 or more round trip, takes around 45-50... Spencer's beach break tour is likely the cheapest and easiest way, especially as it includes drinks and Food. You can easily go enjoy a drink or snacks or lunch at Bayside restaurant (seriously overpriced), head up to the Greathouse and look around, book a treatment at the spa, etc if you like. Or arrange a tour with Sugar Beach if you want something more elaborate. Getting there isn't cheap or easy - it's a good distance from the port. brookmill18 Posted May 2, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted May 2, 2018 Thank you--will most likely do Spencer's. That way if we get there and just want to do a quick walk around property/get a drink, we have a good option of something to do and won't feel stuck there. Thanks! Spencer's Beach Break tour is only Jalousie resort/beach - there's no other stops or such. It's straight to the beach, drop off with drinks cooler, etc and you have around 5 hours to enjoy the beach, snorkel, swim, lunch (included) , etc . It doesn't have any other stops or such.. He has a "land/sea" tour that has the waterfall, volcano and such plus some beach time at Jalousie beach... But yiu end up with only 2 or so hours at the beach. If you only want an hour or such at the resort - maybe Cosol's tour may be better.. Less expensive, and a very well run a day sightseeing with around 1-1.5 hours at Jalousie... Maybe that would be a better fit? Good luck.. And enjoy.
