I could have sworn I saw a social media package that you could purchase that let you use facebook, emails, etc...

I am booked on Dawn and only see the big packages.

I think that's a Carnival thing. Good idea that NCL should steal.

I am guessing this is what you are looking for, all though I had to google it "outside" of ncl.com to find it:

It seems like NCL is trying out different types of internet packages, called "Freestyle Choice Plans" - and among these new internet plans is something called "Social Chat" that is very similar to the one you are interested in? In that article though (from March 2017), it states that the test of this type of internet plans are being tested on passengers only on the Norwegian Escape and the Norwegian Getaway.

It's not available yet on the Breakaway or Gem yet ... not surprised that it's not offered on the Dawn, yet.

NCL is slowly rolling it out. It is available on Getaway, and a few other ships.

We had this on Carnival Breeze last year and it was GREAT, no minute counting!

This past February we had a social media package on NCL Getaway and it was equally as nice. However, I hear NCL has only rolled it out on Getaway. Bummer. I was hoping to see it on Breakaway.

Is the social package available yet on the NCL Star? We are sailing in February 2018 and it would be nice to have Facebook and email.
