Pre-Cruise in Budapest/Post-Cruise in Prague: How Many Days Did You Stay?

Our post-cruise hotel in Budapest was the Boscolo (now renamed the New York Palace). Absolutely amazing place. The "New York Cafe" (where a buffet breakfast was served) was an experience in itself. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Budapest for 3 nights prior to a previous cruise and loved it but wanted more so we are doing another 3 nights prior to boarding our next cruise at the end of this year. We disembark in Passau and have a private driver taking us via Cesky Krumlov to Prague for 4 nights at the end of the cruise. I based how long to stay based heavily on what people here have posted (plus a bit of our own experience in Budapest.)

Last year when we did this cruise it started in Prague. We went 2 days early and stayed in the same hotel that Uniworld used, Art Deco Hotel. It was very central. We loved 4 days in Prague.

At the end of the trip the boat anchors for 1 night in Budapest and then we stayed 3 extra nights at the Hilton Budapest on the Buda side. Loved it.

Great cities, well worth your time.
