Relections Beach Bar. College age vibe?

Am deciding on which beach to visit on our stop in Aruba. Right now we have narrowed it down to Eagle Beach or Reflections. Even though we have reached senior status we still enjoy a good time!! However when checking out Reflections web site the pictures were all of 20 somethings with drinks in hand partying hard. We really don't want to that much of a good time. LOL Anyway has anyone recently been there who could give us a first hand report?

TIA

We were there last April And going back this April. We had chairs on the beach. It wasn’t a college vibe.

Reflections on Surfside beach when we were there was mostly vacationers staying in hotels not on the beach, older folks, lots of different languages.

This is my review on another site,,,

From the port, a taxi to Reflection's costs $13. for 2, one way. The trip takes only about 5 minutes, as it is only a mile or two south of the port.

Our bill at Reflections totaled $60. for the following, 2 loungers and an umbrella, a lunch we ordered which consisted of a beef quesadilla for my wife, a giant hamburger and fries with 2 beers for me, and a tip.

The beef in the hamburger and in the quesadilla was outstanding. My wife said it was the best she ever had! Yep, better burger then Guy's on the ship!!

I want to state something here I rarely read, there is a shower to wash off the salt water just as you walk off the sand onto the cement towards the swim up bar.

Yes there is a pool with a swim up bar, with loungers and chairs around it, but I didn't make it there today, maybe next time.

After lunch, we sat around for about an hour, enjoying the breeze, then had our server Jenny call us a taxi, which she gladly did. The taxi arrived in less then 10 minutes, and we were headed back to the port to do some shopping before going back on the ship. I want to thank the following people at Reflections for a great beach day, ,,Jorge who answered all my emails, Brian who set us up on the beach, and took care of us there, and Jenny, who was our server in the restaurant/bar area!

They were very attentive, very good workers, and very nice.

Do you need to reserve a spot? Are there beach beds? And is it super crowded?

Usually there is only your ship!

Aruba can have 4 or 5 ships in port during high season. It really depends on the time of year. It's best to check your ports online to see how many ships will be in that day. There are several sites that do this, but I can't think of them right now. However, you can google this.

Our experience is what I'm commenting on, 2 visits this year, we were the only ship in port! But I'm sure there are other times when there are more, but most of the southern ports on most days, not all days, will be 1 ship!

It all depends on the time of year. We stay in Aruba every Feb, and many days there are 4 or 5 ships in port, and everything is a madhouse. We were there on a cruise last Sept. We were suppose to be the only ship in port, but this was right after Hurricane Irma, and a Royal Caribbean ship was diverted to Aruba, and joined us. It wasn't too bad with just two ships in port.
