Haven area on GSC?

Any updates? Can't find any and NCL did not know when I called.Hoping open by our cruise 2/24!

I’ve seen pictures of it there and then not there. I think it varies on how full the ship going there that day is and whether they feel they need a Haven only area or not.

Was just at GSC two weeks ago. No where near complete. I think the new time estimations are towards summer. I would not count on it being complete by your cruise.

Is there some other type of Haven area (as alluded to by the 2nd post) currently?

I was there this past Feb and there was an area roped off with loungers and it had a waiter, nothing special. The waiter was almost non existent though saw him once all day. Going again this Feb too.

Yes, just there last week and there is a roped off area of loungers beyond the patron bar for Haven passengers. More of a convenience than a prime location. You are off first from the haven so you really have your choice of locations and these only help if you go over late. There is both sun and shade.

Walked over towards the lagoon haven area but you can’t get anywhere close since it is all behind fences.

From a distance you can see that the cabanas/bungalows are just shells at this stage. Nobody was willing to estimate a date for completion. They were working on them along with some multi-story story observatory near the water.

Nope. We were on GSC recently, and there were only shells of structures.Consider that they have been working on the upgrades for over a year now.

Is that observatory going to be a zip line? We were concerned that the workers that day were very blatantly not using proper fall protection, but maybe they don't have the same safety regs we have in the U.S. in the Caribbean. But everything is a long way from completion.

Nowhere near completion. I doubt it will be ready by summer.

On my Oct cruise a few NCL folks told us "late summer but probably fall 2018."
