Got a mailer Sat for Elite cruise thru casino department-choice of 10 cruises. Sent email back to them immediately with the cruise I was interested in. Still haven't heard from anyone. Is this normal

Regular mail-says need to book by April 26

Call your PVP or Carnival's 800 number and inquire. They should be able to help you with the offer using your VIFP number. Offer availability can change hour by hour, so even if you don't find something available that works for you when you first call, you can keep checking back with Carnival to find out if there's any new availability up until the offer expiration date. I wouldn't wait for an email response.

I have talked to my PVP and only two people in the promotions dept are handling the Elite bookings. PVP can't make reservations so sort of have to sit and wait (and hope)

That's not fun! The reason I stated that is because I've received snail mail casino offers in the past, and even when I inquired immediately upon receiving the offer in the mail, availability was already gone.

Best wishes! I hope it works out for you.

I posted about this the other day and no responses to date. My DH also received the offer via USPS on Saturday. The mailer states to email if your interested. I did call the Ocean Players club and was told that we had to email. My DH received a canned reply that he would get a reply within 2-3 days. Nothing yet. I was wondering if anyone has sailed with this Elite offer and could provide any insight. Perhaps a few may chime in here. Sorry to bump.

yeah they give you a ticket number that they respond to-sounds like if they have 10 cruises offered they need more than 2 people. You are given a ticket number based on when you respond.

We have done an Elite before and they are awesome-but at the time there was only one cruise offered-on this mailer there are 10 which might be the problem

Just got an email from my PVP that the promotions department has just started notifying people today if they got selected for an Elite cruise. Again based on when you responded to them. Guess they get a list of folks to contact each day. Fingers crossed I get a call.

Congratulations to everyone who received the Elite offer! Please come back and share your Elite experience. The rest of the Ocean Player's Club members who were not invited appreciate you sharing this information because it helps them understand their Ocean Player's Club standing which for the most part is a big mystery due to lack of transparency. Most land-based player's clubs openly communicate award levels with their customers but Ocean Player's Club does not. I'm thinking about how many times questions have been asked here on CC about what it takes to achieve comp levels. It seems Cruise Critic members are the best source of that information.

Best wishes to everyone who books an Elite casino offer!

My sister got one of these offers, and it is a mystery as to how she got it. Does anyone know? We both gamble at high levels, but she gone one and I didn't. Just curious to know how in the world this works? She was lucky and got on the Horizon sailing for July 31 of this year in a balcony cabin. So jealous, lol!

Was able to book the July 23 Horizon yesterday morning-on hold for about half an hour. They said they have just been hammered. Last Elite we were on cabins were all together. For this one I was given a choice of 4 cabins-cove balcony, deck 6 (under Liquid lounge) or a Spa balcony on D14-took the Spa. Got air to NYC for $150/person-so looks like the stars have aligned. Thanks for all the input

I got the Elite offer by e-mail about a week ago, I e-mailed them back saying I was interested in any cruise. They e-mailed me back Wed evening around midnight, said they were very busy, and gave me a number to call on Thursday. I called them at 10:00 am. like they said waited about 10 to 15 minutes and was then booked on the Carnival Sunshine for July 20th cruise. Very excited to accept this offer.

Both my DH and I rack up points but only my DH received the offer. He typically has over 7000 points and I 6300-6400. I know many others have higher points than that. It varies for us depending on the length of the cruise. We both usually get bounce back offers at the end of each cruise as well. Not positive if that has anything to do with it though. I hope you receive one in the future.

We are on this same Elite cruise. Husband and I have never been before, so we do not know what to expect. We are also on Spa 14. Exciting! Where were you able to get flights for $150? Only reason I ask is we would also be leaving from DTW. :D

Reading their snail mail booklets/offers the casino sends through regular mail, it says on the bottom,,

if you get '7500' pts., you qualify for a premier cruise,,

if you get '7500' pts. on a premier cruise, you qualify for fall and spring ultra cruises.

Elites are a different animal, there is nothing on how many pts. needed to get one of those!

We are still waiting, after a year of getting 7500 pts plus on multiple premier cruises, for that elusive ultra cruise, the casino dept. says we're qualified for!

So far the recent Premier offerings of casino cash and a cruise are really not very good!:(

We received a couple bounce backs that were good and we've used both of them.;)

Looking forward to some stories from those who've received elite's after your cruises!

We have had many invites to the Premiere Cruises but have never received an Ultra invite. I’ll report back as to what it all entails. Happy Cruising!!!

I received the elite by email. I was able to book the Sunshine on July 20. I had to call to make my reservation which wasn't a problem. Have not heard back on what excursion they are offering. I have a family of 4 and my two boys are quite tall for their age. I am still looking into an interior nearby-the balcony we have will be very tight.

Questions I have are do we pay for the 3rd and 4th person in the room for the excursion?

Anyone else here going on this cruise too?

We are platinum and this will be our 24th cruise and I think this one I am most excited to go on since it is an elite. My points range 7000-10000. Hubby doesn't gamble..he hangs at the bar. My casino money is about 2k a cruise.

Just hit Spirit right-alot of folks bad mouth them but in all the years of cruising we have only had one flight cancelled-so can't complain. Just keep watching Spirit they just ran a 30% off sale. Subscribe to Spirit

When I went on an elite cruise, the excursion was for two, so I would guess that you could just pay for your boys. I like the fact that you can get drinks at any bar. The last couple elite offers I got were no good for me. The July 20 would work, but I did not get it so far. I'll keep hoping. Have a great time on your Elite cruise!

You will get drinks anywhere (15 max/day) on the ship (once you get your lanyard/card which they give you at a cocktail/appetizer party first day), shore excursion with the elite group, another cocktail party with prizes mid cruise (I won a huge bottle of special Grey Goose 7 pounds worth-again had to pack-trash bags and towels did fine, fine dining dinner with the group, limo pick up and drop off, lots of stuff in the casino-gifts and food in cabin each day (don't need cookies or strawberries :), also get bottle of booze for your cabin-which to me was sort of a waste since we have the drink package-only drank half the bottle of Absolute but packed the rest in luggage. Enjoyed all the perks-looking forward to meeting you guys.
