Just hit Spirit right-alot of folks bad mouth them but in all the years of cruising we have only had one flight cancelled-so can't complain. Just keep watching Spirit they just ran a 30% off sale. Subscribe to Spirit

Flying in two days prior as our son lives in Manhattan so that may have helped with air-who knows

We have an Elite cruise out of Galveston in Jan

How do you find out which port the free excursion is in?

How do you get the pre and post cruise gifts?

What are these gifts?

I have an Elite Cruise out of Galveston in February.  I e mailed to ask about which port we would have the excursion and they don't have that worked out yet.  Said they would get in touch with us when they know.

Just off an Elite. You will get an email about 3 weeks before the cruise outlining the excursion being offered.

They must be running behind on mine - my Elite cruise is in 2 weeks and the only mail I've gotten is to request parking/transportation & beverages.  Nothing on excursion.  Maybe next week ...

 

On the good side, I was told that we couldn't print boarding passes & luggage tags until the week prior (when we'll be traveling - were planning on finding a business center) - I checked the other day & was able to print those.  Looking forward to my first Elite!

We sail on December 29th and just got the email about parking and beverage today.  I thought that it was bottle and mixers for each person but the email only gave me a choice of one bottle and one mixer total.  Really looking forward to this cruise.  It's my first Elite but booked two more for February and April.

Anyone who has been on an Elite recently can you provide more information on the perks and how it compares to a Premiere Cruise. Booked on an Elite in February. Thank you!

Elites are a different animal, there is nothing on how many pts. needed to get one of those!

We are still waiting, after a year of getting 7500 pts plus on multiple premier cruises, for that elusive ultra cruise, the casino dept. says we're qualified for!:confused:

 

So far the recent Premier offerings of casino cash and a cruise are really not very good!:(

We received a couple bounce backs that were good and we've used both of them.;)

Looking forward to some stories from those who've received elite's after your cruises!

I have NEVER even come close to 7500 points--most was 4700---I get lots of premier offers.   I didn't in the last round, but my mom did, and her last cruise in august she got 2500 points.

 

We booked her premier cruse for march on the horizon and she is also getting $1000 in casino money.   Before the August cruise, our last carnival cruise was april 2016.

The 7500 points earned on a Premier cruise are for an Ultra invite.  Pretty much anyone can get a Premier invite.

So I was just saying that you do not need 7500 points to qualify for a premier cruise...because neither my mom nor I have ever gotten that many :):)  Just glad that's not the rules :):)

We went on an Elite cruise last summer and these are basically the perks involved:

 

-Free bottle of booze/mixer for you and guest (will email you about this)

-Free parking at port or transportation to/from hotel (will email you about this)

-Free group shore excursion in one port of call (This wasnt included in my email but I followed up to get more information)

-Elite dinner at specialty restaurant

-Free wifi onboard

-Free cheers package for you and guest (15 drink limit applies, can get drinks anywhere in ship, not DOU card while playing in casino)

-Various gifts daily (wine basket, bags, umbrellas, etc.)

-Welcome aboard cocktail party and another on a sailaway day

-Various drawings/games in the casino throughout the day (both you and your guest are entered but must be present to win)

 

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head right now...I'll be on the Magic sailing on 3/24, can't wait!
