Airport transfer with a 2 year old

we are having a couple of days pre cruise in South Beach, Any advise on best way to get from the airport for a family of 5 and we will need a car seat for the 2 year old. Thanks.

Arriving into MIA or FLL? :confused:

5 plus bags should fit into a mini-van taxi or UberXL - figure about $35+ from MIA and about $70+ from FLL I would bring my own car seat - the airline will check it for free if you choose not to use it on the flight; bringing your own seat is the only way to ensure that the car seat fits and has been properly maintained.

Another option from MIA is the Airport Flyer bus from MIA to SB for about $3 each :cool:

Chlocam, just wondering why you can't bring your car seat.

Maybe should have put, don't want to bring car seat, 3 kids, 4 suitcases, a buggy and not forgetting DH, thought that might be enough. :-)

I've brought car seats overseas before... It's not a big deal. You can even buy a protection bag on Amazon rather cheap. Big red bag, makes it easier.

Maybe just pack a little lighter? The buggy we bring fits in a back pack!

No need for a car seat if you use the Airport Flyer bus to South Beach, but not sure you want to drag kids and bags on and off of a bus after a long international flight? :confused: I would check with Larry's Limos, Super Shuttle, South Florida Limo and give your hotel a call to see if they can suggest a local option they trust.

You'll have the same issue getting from the hotel to POM.

I'd take another look at bringing your car seat, and look at some of the travel booster seats (some inflate) if your toddler is big enough.
