masara Posted January 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Hi all! I’m new to this forum and excited to learn from all of you . For my question, I’ve tried some various Google searches and even searched on this forum but I haven’t been able to find the answer: does anyone know of any European river cruise ships or European river cruise lines that have cabins for a family of five?? We are two adults with three children (two teenagers and one tween). Or, is my only option to get two cabins for our family of five? Thanks so much for any info/help/advice! NJCruiserBoy Posted January 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2018 All of the Crystal river ships have 2 bedroom/2bathroom suites that would fit everyone. They also have connecting standard suites.
Rare gnome12 Posted January 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Remember that (except for the Crystal Mozart) river cruise boats are limited in width and length which has an impact on cabin size. Rare Roz Posted January 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2018 The cabins and bathrooms are tiny. Roz
Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted January 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2018 AmaWaterways has some new ships that have cabins for 3 and adjoining cabins for 2. You really don't want 5 people sharing 1 bathroom

Rare notamermaid Posted January 11, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Hello Masara, the previous posters have given you excellent info indeed. Especially avoiding the nightmare of sharing a bathroom with five! Just to give you some suggestions in pictures and text here are three variations on the triple occupancy/connecting doors option: 1. Uniworld triple, no connecting doors but the double is right next door: https://www.uniworld.com/eu/ships/ss-joie-de-vivre/deck-plans/ 2. AmaWaterways (hostjazzbeau mentioned this) connecting staterooms and triple occupancy: https://www.amawaterways.com/connections/multi-generational-ships 3. The German company Arosa with several choices: https://www.a-rosa.de/en/river-cruises/wonderful-time/cabins-suites.html And now the standard tip of checking out our hosts excellent stickies on the front page "new to river cruising" etc. There is lots of general info that could help you with your plans. Have fun researching and planning. notamermaid
