Nanagu11 Posted March 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2018 We will be cruising to Bermuda on NCL Escape in August and my question is.. Once off the ship is there an area for cruise peeps to get food and drinks from the cruise line? Like they do on the private islands? Or is it once you leave the ship you are on your own $$?? You are on your own off the ship. You are in a real country that the cruise line does not own although the immediate area off the ship, the Dockyard, is somewhat of a tourist trap for cruise passengers, it is Bermudian owned........the whole island of Bermuda, including the Dockyard is expensive $$$ Edited March 31, 2018 by Charles4515
Barb Nahoumi Posted April 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2018 Bermuda has many fine places to visit or dine at. Their public bus service is frequent and reasonably priced. You can obtain bus & Ferry Passes in the Dockyard, near the ships.
Something fun! Posted April 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2018 I did learn a tip from a guide that if you walk around to the left of the entrance to Snorkel Park Beach instead of on the main path, you won't have pay to get in. It's not a natural nor pink Bermuda beach at all, but it's within walking distance.
marco Posted April 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2018 To the OP: This is not an "out island" that the cruise lines provide services/food at. This is comparable to a ship docking at any other place. Once off the ship, you're on your own.
