Labadee,Nellies' beach ?

Love Nellies beach. Grab a couple of lounge chairs under the palm trees. You will need cash to tip the locals. A waiter will come around yelling "medication". As I recall, the Labadoozie is pretty good and we aren't big drinkers.

Heard that this is the nicest beach on Labadee, are you allowed there if you're not renting a bungalow or cabana?

Just want to get some chaises and enjoy the beach.

We prefer Columbus Cove, also open to all.

Yes, Nellie's Beach is open to everyone.

The only restricted area is Barefoot Beach which is only available to suite guests and those registered guests in the cabanas there.

Can you go to Barefoot Beach if you are in a JR Suite?

Only if you are Pinnacle level in C&A, or are invited by someone who has access.

Normally for guests in Grand Suites and better.

This may be a silly question, but do they have t-shirts with "Nellie's Beach" on them to buy? That was my Mom's name and I would love to have a t-shirt with that on it.

Never seen them in the 8 times over 9 years we have been there.

The t shirts I have seen were sold with either the zip line or dragons coaster.

Sorry.

Take some pictures with the Nellies beach signs.

Enjoy Labadee, we do and do over and over again.

Safe travels.

Curious why you think so? We had planned to go to Columbus Cove with a 4yo, best choice for us?

I would vote for Columbus Cove with a 4-year old as well. Both Nellie's and Columbus Cove have a easy gradual entrance to the water, but Columbus Cove is bigger so there is more room. You won't feel like people coming out of the water are going to step on your little one. Also, lunch is right there and you can take it back to your lounge chair if you want.

There is an easy shortcut from Nellie's to Columbus Cove under the water slide, so you can check out Nellie's then head to Columbus Cove and see what you think of that (they head back if you want). That way you avoid the aggressive vendors on the main approach to Columbus Cove.
