Desk outlets on Noordam

On our last HAL cruise (Maasdam) we discovered that we could not efficiently use the outlets for charging our electronics. I cannot recall the specific problem but now we are on HAL again and wonder if the Noordam will be equally challenging. If so, how do you address this when you travel on her?

My daughter describes the problem as this: one of the two desk outlets was specifically fitted for the hairdryer, which had different prongs, leaving only one for our regular items. I just want to be prepared if I need to purchase some sort of multi-charger (non-surge protector type). We have an inside cabin, if that is relevant.

It's not just for the hair dryer. It is a 220 volt European style outlet that can be used for any appliance that will work on that voltage if you have a simple plug adapter. Most modern chargers for laptops/tablets/phones will work on 100 volts to 240 volts, and we use the 220v outlet on every cruise without any voltage converter. Check the info on your charger - it probably says 100-240v, 50-60 Hz. You can buy a set of adapter plugs for use on various outlets world-wide for under $10.

We didn't have any problems on the Noordam, but I believe we used one of the chargers with dual USB ports. We charged cell phones and camera batteries. We were in a Vista Suite, and there was another USB port by the bed.

I don't recall Vista Suites on Noordam?
