fstuff1 Posted December 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2017 (edited) i just booked a mid-ship angled balcony on deck 11 (#11782) through Casinos at Sea. it's half way between the casino and pool decks. i prefer to walk than take the elevator. i've never been on the Escape before. the cruise is 10months away so i have LOTS of choices of balcony rooms. But the room class is listed as BC. Same angled balcony room on 12th floor is BB. hm.. the bed is next to the closet instead of next to the balcony door. Are there better non-spa balconies than an 11floor mid-ship angled one? Edited December 6, 2017 by fstuff1

Two Wheels Only Posted December 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Using deck 11 (since you are booked there), I would select either 11296 or 11896. I prefer angled balconies that don't "face" another angled balcony like 11274/11874 faces 11256/11856.
Two Wheels Only Posted December 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Bed location is also personal preference. There isn't really a "best". It's really up to you.
Warm Breezes Posted December 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 7, 2017 We had 11896 and loved it. Bed is by the balcony and we had a lounger put on the deck. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Two Wheels Only Posted December 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 11, 2017 11274 doesnt face 11256 The larger/angled part of the balcony on 11274 does face the larger/angled part of the balcony on 11256.

How can that be.. they are at least 10 cabins away from each other.
Two Wheels Only Posted December 12, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 12, 2017 How can that be.. they are at least 10 cabins away from each other. The ship gets wider and more narrow at certain parts. This creates the "angle" on certain balconies. The balcony at the wider part will give a view along the narrow part of the ship until the ship gets wider. The people on the angles can look right at each other if both are sitting at the angled part of the balcony.
