Casinos in San Juan

Anyone ever go to a San Juan casino while in port and if so how far away are they from the port?

There are a couple of casinos in Condado, which is about a 10 - 15 minute cab ride away.

There is one in the Sheraton across the street from the port in old San Juan. It was decent for me, I won a bit.

That casino closed.

We visited the Casino Metro when we were there in March. It's located at the Sheraton Hotel by the convention center. It was about a 15 minute cab ride from the port. It's newer with a good selection of machines. I hit for $1700 on a machine. My husband hit for $4000 on another. So I would recommend this place.

The Sheraton casino is closed! Was there in January!

Sheraton closed a couple of years ago, but web site now says hotel and casino again. Maybe replacing casino with shops just wasnt profitable enough

Would love to know if anyone can verify if the casino is there at the Sheraton in Old San Juan. I read it closed and I was just on their website and do not see anything posted about a casino coming back. We are cruising soon and loved how it was right across the street from the cruise ship.
