We will be arriving at this port in less than a week on the Carnival Glory eastern Caribbean cruise. Will be stopping here and would like to sample some local cuisine and beverages (alcohol). Anyone have recommendations on what to eat/drink and where?

I've searched Google and the board but have not found much in terms of what sort of local cuisine to eat or any sort of beverages to consume.

Looking for any sort of help.

Thanks

The Fish Fry is a good place to get local food and drinks. It's a row of small restaurants about a mile and a half from town. Here is some information: http://susancrow.blogspot.com/2014/09/nassaus-fish-fry.html

If you don't want to go that far, I've heard Bahamian Cookin' is good: http://bahamiancookin.com/

For drinks, the local beer is Kalik. A Bahamian drink that I like is called Sky Juice, which has gin or rum, coconut water and condensed milk. Of course, any drink with rum is good. :)

local beer is Kalik.

Eh, kind of. Kalik is owned by Heineken. Sands is a locally owned beer company. Both are brewed in the Bahamas. Though the brewery that makes Kalik also makes Heineken and Guiness.
