internetwhiz Posted November 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2009 Man, if you thought Oasis was expensive, well, Mariner is just out of sight. On December 13, 2010...I hope no one wants a X Balcony (guarantee room)...if so, rob a bank. $100,000 each for a guaranteed balcony! LOL
faithwins Posted November 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2009 LOL. It does happen quite a bit funny enough. I suppose the system catches fare errors that are too low, but doesen't catch ones that are too high either!
Texas Teen Posted November 27, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2009 The Interior cabins are even more expensive than the Balcony cabins! Who wants an Interior cabin for $100,158??? :D http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1097299
NordicPrince Posted November 27, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2009 Here's a great opportunity to spend some of that ill-gained largesse. :D
ruffs Posted November 28, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2009 I guess if the price drops you'd get a pretty good sized OBC though.
crusinmama06 Posted November 28, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 28, 2009 Do I get a reserved pool deck chair and reserved theatre seating with that price? :D
internetwhiz Posted November 28, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted November 28, 2009 Do I get a reserved pool deck chair and reserved theatre seating with that price? :D Well, one would think...surely you would get a personal butler who would have to stand post outside the door to grant your every whim. It would put concierge class to shame. LOL I didn't even see the inside room being just as weird. I wonder if you click on that to make a reservation if the amount still is 200,000 for the room LOL
Yurita Posted November 28, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 28, 2009 That's too funny!!!! it HAS to be an error, but that's still very funny!!!!:D for that price I can buy a home or 4 brand new cars at my father's dealer!
dagadget Posted November 28, 2009 #9 Share Posted November 28, 2009 Do I get a reserved pool deck chair and reserved theatre seating with that price? :D For that price Michelle you get butler service for you and the kids separate rooms for the kids with kid sitting 24/7 and a lot better cabin than what they show listed (Grand Family Suite sounds about right). If I missed anything call Royal's complaint line at 1-800 Waaah waah lol ;)

Actually, it is not an error, it is how RCCL holds open rooms while they are updating group reservations or making price changes to the system. They show the room is available for purchase but the price is so out of sight that no one would book it. Of course if you really want the room you could book it and then ask for a reduction when they release it with the new price. Mike

It's only the guarantee that has that price, so if you were booking other cabins there would not be such a discouragement. A group could alternatively book the regular balcony cabins up, thus leaving the line in the same situation anyway.

I am just repeating what I was told by RCCL, perhaps I was misinformed or misunderstood what the Rep told me. Mike
