Liquor store in Miami airport or Port of Miami?

My mom and I are doing a mini cruise on the Celebrity Century and can bring 2 bottles of wine on board. Is there a liquor store that sells wine either at the Miami airport or at the Port of Miami before embarking?

There are no stores of any kind at the port. I've never flown through MIA, some one else here said recently that there are no liquor stores at the airport. I suppose you could google the airport and find a list of merchants(??)

Your best bet is to ask your cab driver to stop at a store along the way; unless you want something special, any Publix grocery store will likely have a wide enough selection to fill your needs. You will need to negotiate the extra charge for this service stop with your driver - the longer you shop the more it will cost abov the flat rate $24+tip fare from MIA to POM. Good luck!:)

Red Brick on NW 7th Street is super close, and has a great inexpensive selection! Super nice owner that we met buying our liquor! Would highly recommend!

I would do a JohninDC suggests. Ask the Taxi Driver to take you to the closes location. If you want a variety of wines do go to a Publix Grocery Store. If you are looking for something simple then a CVS would work and both of these are several of both types of stores.

It is about a mile in the HOT Miami sun to get to a CVS that sells a limite selection of wine, and then another mile in the HOT Miami sun to get back to your ship -- the walk is not particularly pedestrian friendly with cars, busses, trucks and taxis whizzing past you (besides cruise ships Miami is a large industrial port). I would not suggest that you walk.

 

Or you could take a taxi - about $20 round trip to save how much on some cheap wine? :confused:

No, and looking at the POM web cam I dont really see any sidewalks going over the bridge to the port either.
