thunder_lin Posted January 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Can anyone tell me if there are digital alarm clocks in the cabins on Princess?
jmelnick Posted January 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2010 It's been a couple of years since I've been on Princess, but I don't remember there being any type of clock. We always bring a small folding travel clock.
Painter Posted January 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2010 I was on the Sapphire several years ago and there wasn't an alarm clock.
paul929207 Posted January 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2010 No clocks in cabins. You can use phone to leave a wakeup call
Cruising Carol Posted January 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Telephone display includes the time. Small and not easy to read. Used it only to check after a time change. I always take a travel clock that is easy to read and see.
1 HappyCruiser Posted January 7, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2010 If I remember correctly they display a clock on the TV but you'll have to wait till it cycles around.
Billy and Charlie's Mum Posted January 7, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 7, 2010 I remember that I had the same question a while back and Pam from CA told me about a travel clock from LL Bean that could be bought on mail order. Which is good for me being in Australia. I bought one and it is perfect. Best travel clock I have seen. If you want to have a look - http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=nightfinder-travel-alarm-clock&categoryId=62137&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&parentCategory=4524&cat4=2929&shop_method=pp&feat=203-sub1&np=Y
shellbeachjim Posted January 7, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 7, 2010 I read that there's enough variation in the ship's electrical system that electrical clocks don't run accurately. I think you're better off with a battery powered travel alarm. Battery alarm works perfectly and there's a button to push that illuminates the time for those who have that need in the middle of the night. Putterdude Posted January 8, 2010 #10 Share Posted January 8, 2010 The phones show digital time but are hard to read when you are laying in bed. We travel with our own which is becoming a bit tired so we have just replaced it with the one from LL Bean...but haven't really given it a workout yet. By the way we got the red one thinking that it would be hard to leave behind.:)

rjack22 Posted January 8, 2010 #15 Share Posted January 8, 2010 I ordered the LL Bean alarm clock in green because the red was out of stock until Feb 7 and by then I will be on the cruise. It came a couple of days ago. I really like it. One feature that I particularly like is the ability to move the time or alarm set backwards or forwards. No more going all the way around the clock to move the alarm 15 minutes earlier.

I set the time and it was making coffee at 3:00 AM instead of at 7:00 AM as it was set for. So, the digital clocks do not run as they would at home.
