Is the Aqua Theater used when there isn't a show being held at it?

Can any past cruisers tell me what goes on at the Aqua Theater if there isn't a show at it? Is it used as a passenger pool, or a place to sunbathe?

Not used as a passenger pool. Some of it is roped off and not acccessible to the passengers...BUT...

 

I have to say, it was my favorite place to go and relax, especially during the less-noisy downtime on the Boardwalk.

 

The chairs are comfortable, decent music gets piped in, and general trivia questions get shown on the video screens. You can also watch rehearsals of the aqua shows, and there are fountain shows as well.

 

Also, the "sexy legs" and "belly flop" competitions are held in the Aquatheater, as well as some other events. I loved just bringing a book down there and relaxing.

We had BW balcony 9315 on Oasis and enjoyed all of the above from our balcony. What fun our Oasis balcony was!!! And, our best friends had the adjoining balcony!

If you have the chance, try a BW balcony.

Early on they did say in one of their Oasis videos that it was going to double during the daytime as a passenger pool....but that hasn't seemed to materialize.
