bob brown Posted March 19, 2010 #26 Share Posted March 19, 2010 I am dying to outbrag all of you by saying I don't have to travel at all to cruise, I live aboard The World by Residensea!:p But alas, only in my dreams....
olefin32 Posted March 19, 2010 #27 Share Posted March 19, 2010 You must have never been here to say that! I have lived all over and west Little Rock, Hot Springs and other places around the state are as nice or better than more popular places. That is ok though, people here know they have a hidden gem! Well said, thank you! I don't understand why silverado44 gets out of being rude. Maybe because they are jealous! ;) Seems there is always a few on every forum. He/she needs to read the first sentence in my signature. :D
m steve Posted March 19, 2010 #28 Share Posted March 19, 2010 if you live in it and don't have to fly to get to a port. That way you can stock up on liquor and not pay overweight.
maxxedout2 Posted March 19, 2010 #29 Share Posted March 19, 2010 We visited N.W. Arkansas and it is nice. We drove through E Springs, spent the day. Just a neat, well kept Victorian town...and the ride from XNA was, well, let's just say I wish I would have been on my 1340 Suzuki bike instead of driving a rental car. Lotta curves, nice blacktop road. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> We have been in S FL 30 years and finally decided to take a cruise. I was a Captain and Dive Master and always had boats...never considered a cruise. People change/get old (no more boats). We really enjoyed our 1st cruise and looking forward to a few more. We are exactly 5.4 miles due west of Terminal 2 at Port Everglades. Tremendous pleasure not having to fly. Be seeing you.:cool: Westerdam in December

We drive to our Maasdam Canada/New England cruises every summer and have to say we've never brought liquor aboard. Not to say we don't enjoy a cocktail, but we don't lug our own. We enjoy the social aspect of being in the lounges, listening to the music, people watching........ Not having to fly is the treat. Not lugging heavy bottles - at least that is the case for us. We never rode the train, in fact it was closed that day. But we enjoyed prowling their train yard checking out all the old engines, turntable, rail cars, etc. Thanks

Well you sure did make the train station. And the Canada Martitime sounds interesting! Here's a few more of my train pictures, the ones taken in Newfoundland came from a friend. I was there with him but never took any train pictures.
