Ship-wide Savings coupons

Does anyone know why some TA’s get the Princess Ship-wide Savings coupons and others do not? The agency that I use offers Princess cruise packages but the TA said they don’t have these coupons. Could it be that they just give coupons to preferred/loyal customers? I'm a bit disappointed.

The 'good' coupons books were linked to some sort of 'cruise night' promotion. They are not just given to loyal passengers but anyone that booked within a certain time frame with a TA that has the promotion running. ;)

We got a coupon book from our TA Feb of 2010. The only coupon that was interesting that we used was the 2 for 1 coffee card.

It depends on the TA and their promotion. Sometimes I get one, sometimes I don't. IMHO, they're useless, even the "good" coupon books. I'd much rather get a shipboard credit or bottle of wine.

The Princess Passport to Value book of coupons is usually waiting in your room when you first arrive onboard... and has very few coupons of value.

 

The Princess Shipwide Savings Coupons Booklet is usually a perk supplied to lucky cruisers by their travel agent. It does have coupons of some value... you can often find it being sold on EBay for approximately $25.

 

I did read that your travel agent only has these coupon books in stock if they attended a special Princess promotion.

I received them from my TA every cruise but their nothing special except for the 2 for 1 coffee cards. Don't be disappointed, you'll be more disappointed if you waste you time trying to get one and your successful :rolleyes:

Last year's equivalent booklet had more usable coupons. For example, $$ off on a relgular photo at the photo gallery.

Coupon books really only have value if you would buy the service or product anyway. My DH and I do not drink coffee, so even that one is worthless to us. We have given them away to our CC friends at the meet and greets :), but really not being spa or casino goers they really do not give any value to us.

No. The PTV is a generally useless set of coupons. (Example: $50 off on an art auction purchases of at least $500 (or maybe it was $1000))

I like the coffee. TA's schedule a cruise week with Princess. All bookings made and deposited on during that period receive the coupon book. :)

Most of the coupon books,are not worth much,except for the coffee one,We get one in our room everytime,but hardly find anything we like in them,you will probably have one when you get to your room,hope you have a great cruise;)
