Pre cruise hotel close to Newark Cruise Terminal Please

There are quite a few hotels near the airport that offer the Park and Fly (or cruise) option. The only one we have used is the Wyndham Garden. It was fine and we will probably use it again. They have a safe area to leave your car. It worked out well for us......even in a snow storm!

Thanks for that. We will be flying in from the UK so that may be a good option. How far from the hotel to the Cruise Terminal please ?

It's not very far.....maybe 10 minutes. Like I said.....there are lots of options in the airport area. Since you won't have a car maybe someone else can recommend a little nicer option for you. But like I said...the Wyndham was fine. There was a decent restaurant on the property. We were pleased with it.

Good morning,

You can find lots of info on the "East Coast Departures" forum.

Hope you have a great cruise!

We stayed at the Country Inn and suites before our Explorer cruise last year and would use it again. Its in a good position near the mall and restaurants and easy to get into New York if you have time with public transport.

A taxi to the cruise terminal took 20-30 minutes and cost around 50 dollars.

We stayed at the Airport Marriott. It is within the airport complex but I found it to be very quiet. So if your flying in it would be easy.

We stayed pre-cruise at Country Inn as well. Left our car in their lot while we went on the cruise, seemed safe. There was a restaurant and mall within easy walking distance. We took the cruise shuttle (included in our price) to the port, took about 30min.

Country Inns has a cruise package that includes the room and transportation to and from the cruiseport. Currently this is showing on their web site at $185 including taxes (and breakfast). As others have said there is a restaurant and mall nearby. Many cruisers use this hotel and are very satisfied with it.

If you book a hotel without transportation, you will pay about $100 to go round trip to the cruiseport. There are airport hotels available for $85 including taxes, but typically these are not hotels that we recommend. Newark is a highly urban area and you need to be careful about your hotel selection - all the airport hotels cater to a transient crowd and none of them are vacation destinations.
