Anyone hear about a new ship the Carnival Breeze?

Not until now, but they had not stated a name for the newest ship they ordered (the 3rd in the Dream class).

Carnival Cruise Line recently announced that their new 3,690-passenger ship will be named Carnival Breeze. The 130,00-ton cruise ship will debut in spring 2012 and is the third in the line’s Dream class.

Carnival's latest press release dated last Friday doesn't name it.

I hate to be the negative one but the Breeze just doesnt sound like it would fit good with Dream and Magic as sister ships...

 

I have heard the name tossed around before from sometime ago...but until it comes from a CCL letterhead, dont hold your breath. ;):D

Just got off the phone with my PVP. He confirmed that "Carnival Breeze" is the name. He also told me that there are discussions going on about the possibility of a second "smaller" ship (his words) coming to New Orleans.

If Gerry Cahill called the ship by that, then I would say it is true...

It is a play on words - the quarterback for Super Bowl XLIV Champs, the New Orleans Saints, is Drew Brees. Carnival Breeze is obviously destined for New Orleans and will fit nicely with the Carnival Magic there. :)
