Why can't we have a CA cruise going N to Canada & back? I'm tired of Mex Rivera all the time! (or even to Hawaii from Long Beach!)

If a cruise ship goes to Hawaii from Long Beach, it would have to be a round trip, with a stop in Ensenada. Princess already does this from San Pedro, so Carnival would be competing with itself if it did this.

considering it's debuting in Spring 2012, I bet it'll start in Europe through October before heading over to the US/Caribbean.

By Fall 2012, I would like to see:

Galveston: Magic(7d), Victory(7/5/4d)

New Orleans: Triumph(7d), Ecstasy(4/5d)

Mobile: Elation(7/5/4d)

Tampa: Legend(7d), Inspiration(4/5d)

Miami: Liberty(7d), Valor(7d), Glory(7d), Destiny(4/5d), Imagination(3/4d)

Ft. Lauderdale: Breeze(9/5d), Freedom(8/6d)

Port Canaveral: Dream(7d), Sensation(3/4d)

Jacksonville: Miracle(7d), Fascination(4/5d)

Charleston: Fantasy(6/5/4d)

Baltimore: Pride(5/6/7d)

San Juan: Conquest(7d)

Long Beach: Splendor(7d), Paradise(3/4d)

San Diego: Spirit(8d)

I'm getting a little tired of the foo foo names Carnival keeps pulling out of the hat. We've gone from Conquest (a pretty kick a$$ name as ships go) to the Breeze? Is it going to start a whole series of Chrysler Corp. inspired names? If so the next one better be the Carnival Charger, not Carnival Neon.:D

Homeport her in Long Beach, but change her name to CAPITALIST if for no other reason than to piss off the leeches/collectivists/morons running the People's Republic of California.(into the ground)

Wonder why it is smaller then the Dream? The Dream is 4600 plus. We just sailed the Dream 1000 people short and it still felt over crowded IMHO.

Actually she has a larger double occupancy 3690 vs 3646

http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/ships/carnival_dream/default.aspx?shipCode=DR

Dream

Gross Tonnage: 130,000 tons

Length: 1,004 feet

Cruising Speed:

Staterooms: 1,823

Guest Capacity: 3,646 (double occupancy)

Total staff: 1,367

Registry: Panama

Magic has the same DO numbers as Breeze, I think they added some cabins to the Spa Deck:confused:

Sorry misunderstood when they announced the number of paxs we had but I would have sworn they said we sailed 1000 short at 3600 plus. Thank you for the correction. You know how things are when you are on a cruise......
