Rare Host Sharon Posted May 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2010 A friend and I have been commissioned to write a book on Royal Princess / Artemis. We would be interested in any photographs, memorablilia, memories, information etc anyone might have. The ship was state of the art for her time with a lot of "firsts". As she is leaving P&O next April we would like the book to be a true "tribute" to a lovely ship.
Bill B Posted October 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2010 I have a plaque from the inaugural cruise from Southampton to Ft. Lauderdale... along with the original, British 'Postal Cover' to commemorate it.
RickEk Posted February 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2011 You might want to post this on the Princess board too. There are many fans of the original Royal Princess there... She is a beautiful ship! Artemis by RickEk, on Flickr

rkacruiser Posted August 25, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2019 The original Royal Princess was my first Princess ship on which I sailed. First itinerary was a Christmas cruise from San Juan to Acapulco in 1986 (I think). Then, a re-positioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale-Manaus-Civitavechia in 2004 or 2005. Would what I have somewhere in my archives help?
