Great review.
I enjoyed reading it and looking at your pictures which are fabulous!
Thanks for the comments. As for the photos, to quote Father Mulcahey, "you can't miss when you've got good material."

OK sorry, they keeping popping up. The photographers all stand in a row between Bar Nuveau and the Future Cruise Desk (deck 5) trying to get you to get a portrait taken. If you want to avoid this and don't mind the smoke, cut through the casino.
Port #2 - Grand Cayman is a scream

For those who have not done this, its is a popular attraction, so expect a lot of other boats and people. The water here is only about waist high, crystal clear and about 80 degrees. The stingrays are used to people and will swim right up to you to see if you have any food. The guides usually know them by sight and have names for them. They will let you hold one, kiss one (seven years good luck) and depending on the tour company, feed them. This tour did not include feeding. Be prepared for the screams of the squeamish as the rays brush up against their legs. You will probably also see people walk on water back to the tour boat to get away from the rays.
A little history, my DH and I had the chance to do either a stingray tour or a repeat dolphin tour on our last cruise. I watched a video of a stingray tour and I got a wicked case of the heebee jeebees just watching the video. I opted to spend a small fortune so that my DH could "train dolphins". It was a great tour! Your review reminded me of that video and the only explanation that I have is that "It was a visual" I read your commentary and visualized a Tom and Jerry cartoon with Tom running across the water with legs running so fast that they were a blur. Yep! That would be me too, screaming and slapping at them so that I could get away. To all of the other posters reading this, please understand that I would not hit anything unless I was in mortal danger (or had a wicked case of the heebee jeebees). I laughed so hard while reading this post that I could not read it to my husband.

To ussenterprise: Thank you for the wonderful review. You should write sitcom TV.
Did you happen to see "Music Boardwalk"? What did you think of them?
I got off today and I did see them. They were alright. They played more rock than anything else. There was not much dancing to their music overall. They do play a mean "Freebird":D

What great info about time spent on the freedom . We leave 7/25 for our first cruise! Couple of questions-does it get chilly in the evenings? Does anyone ever say anything to the chair hogs? What does dh,dd,dw stand for????
Thanks, carol

Carollee, it gets chilly in the MDR and theater according to DW. She usually brings a shawl or some kind of wrap to cover her shoulders. On deck tho, should be quite toasty.

As for chair hogs, we really only had an issue with chairs right by the pool. If you don't need to be right by the pool, you can usually find a chair a bit further away. Personally, if I see someones crap on a chair for more than 30 minutes, I toss it - the crap, not the chair. I don't think Carnival enforces the rule unless someone complains.

By the way, as I am from Chicago, DW stands for "da wife."
