mina Posted June 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2010 We really want to go to this national park - but no tours appear to offer it and we really don't want to go anywhere else. How likely will we be to find a taxi driver that will take us there and pick us up. Also -- about how much do they charge for such a half day tour/transportation? Thank you! ANY taxi driver outside the Port's gatehouse knows where Welchman Hall Gully isand will take you there! It's right in the middle of the island (under our TV antenna) and it takes about an hour and fifteen? to amble along the path to the end and turn around to make it back again so he'll probably wait for you -he may even do the stroll with you to point out local knowledge stuff not in the $2 booklet they sell you at the entrance (well worth the money, btw) Sorry but can't help you with costs, but if you like and appreciate Nature, this is a lovely cool walk to do -wife and I did it just about 6 wks. ago(we live on da islan)
