bernnj Posted June 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2010 Greetings, I am seriously considering booking a cruise on the Summit to Bermuda next May or June 2011. I sailed the Century "solo" this past May and met some very nice people. Are there any "solos" cruising the Summit next May or June 2011? If so, what week? I most likely will book solo and if any family members or friends want to join me and share the cabin that will be fine as well. I usually don't book this far in advance but it might be nice to have something planned for next year. I usually have 2-3 weeks vacation time remaining in that time period. Bernadette Hi Bernadette,:) I am not on those sailings but I cruise solo all the time. I just returned home from SUMMIT last month and had a fabulous cruise:D If you check the roll calls, you will see on June 5, 2011 there is a "Cruise Critic sailing" on SUMMIT....if you are trying to meet others that would probably be a good cruise to choose. I believe Laura is going on it too. It really doesn't matter to me if others are solo or not though. Whatever the marital status? It has no affect on my cruise. Single, married, divorced, widowed etc.... Its fun meeting everyone:D

I did find that my dining table assignment on the Century had a mixture of married, singled, widowed and divorced. And the June 5th cruise might prove to be fun in that it is a "Cruise Critic sailing". Thank you again for your suggestion.
mason525 Posted June 27, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 27, 2010 We were on ths year's 5/30 sailing & the weather was perfect! Don't know if that would guarantee bad weather for next year or not but we switched to an Alaska cruise & atre hoping for good weather 6/10. Good luck-loved the Summit. Rare cruisestitch Posted June 27, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 27, 2010 How do you feel about kids? Just got off the 6/20 Summit to Bermuda and there were 450 kids aboard. It did change the ambiance. It seemed to be a very informal cruise. As in Dressed Down, not Dressed Up. Note to self: no more one-week cruises in June. YMMV
