Hello out there! I am new to Cruise Critic, so please be patient.

How do you register to attend the On Board Cruise Critic Party for each individual sailing? Is there a gathering on every cruise? Thanks!

Hi!

Welcome!

Go to the Roll Call section of the message board, click on your cruise line, and then on your ship. Scroll through the subjects there and look for your cruise (for example: Comet, Aug 30,2010, Hawaii). Just join that thread, meet your fellow sailors, and see what they have planned. It's fun to meet online BEFORE your cruise as you will then have "friends" on board. Many groups plan several get togethers on board, and maybe even shore excursions or activities together.

Have fun!

That depends - if you're on Royal Caribbean, they have a deal with Cruise Critic where a "meet and mingle" is set up. Go to your roll call (under Royal Caribbean Roll Calls on the forum) and you'll see a link somwhere for joining your meet and mingle. You'll need to type in booking information and then you'll be registered.

If you're not on Royal Caribbean, there is no "formal" gathering through Cruise Critic per se. Often, meeting times and places will be established by friends on your roll call. Inquire again if you cannot access your roll call with more specific booking information!

Go to your Roll Call. If your are sailing on Princess there will be an announcement in the first Patter News, the one you will receive your first night on the ship, after 10:00 p.m. for the next day. The M & G is usually the first day at Sea and Princess provides an area, usually one of the bars. Princess will provide snacks but it is a no host M & G.

Have seen Cruise Critic Meet & Greets IN daily Carnival Capers - (Now Carnival Fun). Always a sign Private party when they give you a place to meet but often a place is decided and ship is not told about it, you just meet.

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are the only two cruise lines that automatically host Cruise Critic Meet and Mingles, as long as it is at least a 5 night cruise, and at least 25 people sign up for it.

Some other cruise lines, like Princess, will also host a party if you send them a request. It is not automatic though.
