Jean Skirt OK?

It is amazing how quickly this topic flares up and burns out. I'm coming in a little late. However, I just returned from the Explorer. One of our casual nights was specifically named "Western night". "suggested attire for this evening is county & Western OR casual"

I am from the west. Best dress in some places here is your tightest, newest jeans. I can't think of anything more western than levis. So if Explorer is specifically suggesting that you wear Western how can levis be wrong? So on that night I wore a cute, short levi jumper. I conceded that I should not wear pants. I felt I was right on target, despite the few dissapproving looks which were too pointed to ignore.

And what's this about thongs in the dining room

As long as they are worn under denim jeans, they are perfectly acceptable.

These threads amaze me. As the previous poster stated, RCI has a Country Western night. What would be more appropriate than jean skirt?

I dress for formal in a tux, I wear a suit and tie on smart casual and on CW night I wear denim, along with boots, western shirt and a big silver buckle. For those of you that look down on me, tough. It's my vacation and I'm going to follow the suggested dress code regardless of your hangups.

I have no problem with someone wearing clean, non-torn jeans or denim skirt on Casual nights. However, I like to go to the casino after dinner and part of that experience for me is to wear something a little glitzy. I'm probably over-dressed on casual nights, but that's part of the fun for me. I'll never be a high roller, but a girl can fantasize.
