We attended it last summer on the Miracle....very disappointing.....

We were in one of the venues where the big shows are.....servers walked around with trays of drinks (instead of in the past where you can order any drink).....I think they had small amounts of food to taste...I don't remember....

We saw a film on the history of Carnival.....

Yep, they changed it. Now held in the main theatre, only champagne and screwdrivers and some blue mixed drink. They passed around hors d'ouevres on trays, it was a change from the "order your favorite drink" kind of party. They break the past guests into several groups based on dining times and send an invite as to when to attend. Just OK, but surely a sign of "cut backs", not like the good ol' days.

I have never been to one where they come and take orders. They always walk around with a tray of drinks which the majority of people will take, but if you ask or if they have a bar go to the bar, they will bring you what you want.

In June the party was held in the main theater and was pretty crowded. Drinks flowed freely, amaratto sours, melon balls, mai tais, rum punch, screw drivers, wine, beer. If what you wanted was not on their tray, they would get it for you, but due to the crowds, you may actually never see it. The snacks were ok, maybe three or four kinds, and the waiters actually getting to your row was hit or miss. If you want the free drinks it is worth it though.

We were just on the Miracle last week- the drinks seemed to be flowing very freely, I had four before finally convincing the waitress that she really did not need to give me anymore- there wasn't much food- just some little snacks but they were fine- we watched a little video of all the ships and that was basically it.
