Tipping on Jewell of the Sea (RCCL)

I know I read about tipping, but cannot find the info. Does Royal Caribbean automatically add tips to my bill? I read their suggested tipping, but cannot find the info about auto tips.. other than 15% on drink tabs.

Just returned yesterday from HAL AK cruise.. they add $11 per day per person for tips.

Cannot believe how excited I am about another cruise. I enjoy being pampered, not cooking, eating yummy food, etc.

Mindy,

Jewell of the Sea, October 2nd

First RCCL cruise

three previous HAL cruises

RCI doesn't add it automatically..you have the choice..prepaid (MTD must be prepaid)..added to seapass when onboard..or cash at the end...Enjoy your next cruise !!

I don't go to the main dining room, so how much should I leave at the end of the cruise for the cabin steward? 10-night cruise.

Ummm. you still have to tip everyone (waiter, asst. waiter, head waiter) unless you don't plan on eating for 10 nights either.

Here is a link to TPKeller's tip calculator: http://cruisetip.tpkeller.com/

The guideline for a JS cabin and below is $3.50pp per day...I will answer your exact question..and then will step away quickly....Buckle up it might get bumpy...

So where are you eating? Wherever it is, there will be staff serving you, cleaning up, etc.. They deserve tips just as much as if you ate in the dining room.

Pay the suggested amounts.
