Weird Thing re: on line Check In Today......

Unexpectedly and surprisingly, my DH said to me yesterday......... let's add another cruise to what we have booked. So, today we booked a cruise that is within final payment time frame so, of course, had to pay the whole amount.

 

After I got the confirmation number, I went to HAL site to do our check in and completed the easy steps but then when I went to print boarding passes, got message they weren't ready for printing though they said the check in was successfully completed for each of us.

 

Maybe they hadn't cleared our credit card charge yet? Could that be the reason seeing I was doing this less than 30 minutes after hanging up the phone from PCC.

 

I'm excited to have another cruise so soon. :)

Could it be that your cruise is after Nov 17th, which is 50 days from today? As you may have already read on their online check-in page they mention docs will be available "within 50 days of your departure" and "after payment is complete". If your cruise is less than 50 days out, then they were possibly waiting for verification of funds by your credit card co. If cruising before Nov 17th, hopefully you'll find your doc's available the next time you log into your account.

Thanks for the suggestion but it is under 50 days until we sail. I think I did it too fast and the charge hadn't been put through yet.

You are probably right about that.... which, in effect, was the 2nd possibility I mentioned. Anyway, Congratulations on your very pleasant surprise booking!! I'll bet your doc's will be available very soon! :) Hopefully you don't need them before tomorrow! :D

Sail, since you just purchased today HAL need at least 48 hours to process everything, (usually just takes the next business day) You should be able to log in tomorrow and do your on line registration.

YIPPEE ....... we got an e-mail this morning saying our docs are ready for printing.

I'm so excited I got surprised with a cruise I in no way expected.

DH just decided to add another cruise to our schedule. Gotta love it.... :D (In exchange, I promised to pack light. Yah, like that is ever going to happen. ) :rolleyes: :)

Does your husband teach his "surprise your wife" technique to other DH's???? I'm willing to let mine be the first to sign up for the class :D! It seems that I'm the one always looking at cruises and asking if this isn't just the best offer yet . . .
