sxmnov08 Posted October 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2010 We are a family of 14 on a first time NCL cruise to Alaska (Seattle RT). The NCL Pearl has a restriction that everyone under 21 has to have at least 1 adult in the room. The 3 cousins (17,20,20) would like to share a room. Is the under 21 rule enforced on board and if so how?
paul929207 Posted October 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2010 Most cruise lines require you to book with at least one person over 21 (or 25) in each cabin. However, they let you change cabins once on board. Just go to the Purser's desk and they will give you new cruise cards (or whatever NCL calls them). cb at sea Posted October 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2010 The cruiseline is just trying to make sure there are "adults' onboard with the kids...once onboard, they do NOT care who sleeps where....you can switch it up anytime you choose! okbowler Posted October 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2010 You need to remember that your room keycard is your onboard charge card. If you just simply swap cards, who ever has your card is charging to your account. You can go to the pursers desk once onboard and get the cards to match the people and the rooms they are in, if thats important. Bill

Bill Not to mention that the "wrong" picture comes up on the security screen when you leave/return to the ship in port. I've found that security on ships do not have a sense of humor....get the correct cards soon after embarkation.
