  1. 1. Would you cruise the Carnival Spirit from Australia?

    • No. The flight alone is about $1500 per person!

    • Yes, but only if the flight was a bargain!

    • I would cruise in Australia, but not on Carnival. I can go Carnival in the US much cheaper.

I agree with the flight time, but not sure where you got that price? I just did a dummy RT flight Seattle to Sydney this Oct. and it was about $1200...business or first class maybe.

You're forgetting that not everyone lives on the West Coast. I live in NY, and we're looking at $1500+ fares. In coach, cramped edition

I would definitely look at the repo...it will probably be a similiar route as RCI Radiance is doing this year...2 legs...Vancouver to Hawaii (11 days), and then Hawaii to Australia (17 days). Radiance is making several stops between Hawaii and Australia.

I knew there was a reason I have been saving my air miles.

I am booked on the RT to Hawaii from San Diego in Apr/2012, but will probably scrap it for the full repo.

Hey Deb!!-Last time we saw one another was on the Spirit-Mexican Rivera!! Now, one of our favorite ships will be gone! Waaaah!! Se you have a trip planned. We are going on the Miracle, first of March (much like the Spririt I have heard) to the So. Carribbean for 8 days, much like the trip we did!!! Good time to get out of Wa., eh? Hope all is well and happy with you!

Here are just a few of the other places to stop along the way, after Hawaii -

Tahiti

Moorea

Bora Bora

Cook Islands

Samoa - American and Western

Fiji

New Zealand

A trip to the South Pacific islands is a trip of a lifetime!

Exactly, island hopping the whole way down.

Deb, think we can get TBD and the gang involved ?

Hi Margi....glad to see you here...WOW, you have a trip soon. Since my TA will have me gone about 3 weeks, it will probably be it for this year.

Hey Dave,

The only problem I see with some of the gang is the time involved...me, I can do anything now that I'm retired....LOL!!!!

I know the repo info won't be out for a while, but it is making me crazy waiting.

I'm with the others though, I would do the repo, but I would do a land trip after that. The flight is the killer...1 way I can handle, but I will definitely need an Ambien...hahaha
