Heating Pad

I have read all of the posts on "prohibited items" that people are called to the naughty room for. Was wondering if anyone has had a heating pad confiscated? My wife will need it for a condition she has. I was thinking of putting it in our carry-on with her curling iron rolled up in it. Hopefully the curling iron would show up more on the luggage scan. Thoughts?

My daughter just took hers. She was called to the naughty room for it. She told them she has a back condidtion and cannot travel without it. They did not give her a hard time after that. I guess its worth a try.

We've brought a heating pad onboard...in our locked, checked luggage....it wasn't a problem. We did make sure it was unplugged when not in use. You'll need an extension cord, in all probability.

DD has also brought her heating pad in her checked suitcase every cruise....never got called to the naughty room

I would bring a dr's note just to cover yourself and then you should have no problem. Enjoy your cruise!

I always pack some back and neck thermacare pads. They last up to eight hours, and you don't need to worry about cords.

I've brought mine on multiple cruises.. I left mine in my checked bags every time and never gave it a second thought until now..

I always pack some back and neck thermacare pads. They last up to eight hours, and you don't need to worry about cords.

 

I also carry a couple of those with us "just in case" and they work really well. They make several different sizes and types, this is the website, maybe you can find out if you can order them.

I had put my heating pad in the checked baggage. My husband had to go to the naughty room and open the suit case. They did let us keep it. Next time I would take it thru carry on so I don't have to carry the suit case to my cabin. Bev
