As you can see, you'll always get a confirmation at the Steakhouse unless they are full the evening you have selected - in which case, you will rec'v an email advising you are on a waitlist.

In addition, you will receive a card in your cabin confirming your reservation when you board.,,or shortly thereafter.

You're gonna LOVE it...wonderful place to dine, for sure.

I booked the first night in the steakhouse on our August Glory cruise. We now want to cancel. I mistakingly deleted my confirmation e-mail with the Glory steakhouse e-mail...anyone know what it is? I notice the Dream e-mail above it drsteakhouse@carnival.com, so I assume Glory is glsteakhouse@.....
That's correct.

We've booked our steakhouse reservations on line from the Carnival website 3 times now (Legend, Valor and Freedom) and within 2 days have gotten an email confirmation. Glad you're all set, you'll love it!

It took a couple weeks to get our confimation for our Magic Steakhouse reservation, but we did get one. It threw me for a minute because it said, "Dream Steakhouse" as the title! LOL I thought I had booked the wrong steakhouse! But when reading it, I realized that the people on the Dream were booking the resies for the Magic. Scared me for a minute!:D

I want to book the steakhouse as a surprise for my fiance on the Glory, we'll be married a week before on NCL Jewel and I think it would be a great surprise. In fact, she has no idea I even booked the cruise since we can't afford a honeymoon until 2012...at least that's what she thinks.

At any rate, I'm trying to figure out which is the best evening to book. It's a 5 day cruise and originally I was thinking on a sea day. However, I'm wondering if the very first night will be even better!

Any thoughts?!?

There is a possibility you'll get a bottle of wine free on the first night. But, you may also not have your luggage in time to change for it. Just consider that. I'm willing to bet the Steakhouse wouldn't turn you away for that reason though given getting your luggage is out of your control the first night.

Some avoid the night the MDR has lobster. I don't care about that. The lobster in the Steakhouse is better anyway. But I understand folks trying to max out value on their cruise and get that 'free' in the MDR.

I pick sea days when I go.

BTW, congrats!
